Having worked as a car salesperson myself, I’m very familiar with how dealerships operate, and I naturally compare my experience to both my former dealership and others. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst car-buying experience I’ve had. The only thing that was actually completed prior to our arrival was that the vehicle had a full tank of gas. Everything else was empty promises. The car had visible scratches—scratches that would have been impossible for anyone to miss—yet both salespeople I worked with either overlooked them or hoped they would go unnoticed. I had to point them out multiple times, and they were not addressed until after the deal was finalized and after we had already spent hours at the dealership. Most of this was supposed to have been taken care of before we arrived. The pricing was agreed upon over the phone, the down payment was taken over the phone, and the credit application was completed the day before. Despite all of that, we essentially had to redo the entire deal once we arrived, wasting our entire day. On top of that, a $75 fee was added to the down payment without prior disclosure. Even during the F&I process, there was unnecessary back-and-forth due to the sales team not completing their part ahead of time. I fully understand that this is a volume dealership—I worked at one myself—but at our dealership, customer service was everything. There were no surprises, no last-minute issues, and it was everyone’s responsibility to ensure the customer left happy and confident, ultimately earning a five-star review. My overall impression here was that no one truly cared about the customer experience. That may simply be the unfortunate reality of doing business in South Florida, but it does not make this experience acceptable. More
