Yes, it’s a business, and yes, the dealers need to make their money, but I’ve always felt like dealers are out to take more than their fair share. As a result, I am on guard from minute one and begin negotiating as soon as I step foot in the dealership. You still need to do your homework, and you still need to be prepared to negotiate - I got more for my trade-in after I went back with another dealer’s trade-in offer and I received a nice discount on all weather mats - but Diana and the whole dealership were very friendly throughout the entire process and super easy to work with. There was no need for any heavy handed negotiating techniques - they listened to my concerns and suggestions and I felt like they worked in good faith to address them. We got a great deal on both the trade-in and the purchase price and the sales experience was painless and, maybe, even a little enjoyable. Diana will be the first sales person I’ll return to for a second car - she was genuine, sincere, knowledgeable and very engaged throughout the entire sales cycle. More
