Tom Propersi, a consummate professional. I had a really great experience this week at Valley Honda as I took delivery of my 2018 Fit Sport. This was due in large part to the efforts of my salesman, Tom Propersi. Tom is a consummate professional. From my first phone contact with Tom to the point of driving my new car out of the dealership, he expertly handled all of the details, both large and small and answered all of my questions about the car in detail. As I waited for my car to be built, Tom kept me well updated with phone calls and emails. As the delivery date approached, Tom collected all of my necessary information (credit info, license and insurance, trade-in information, etc.) so that the pickup would go smoothly. The night I picked up my car, Tom gave me a tour of the impressive Valley shop areas and talked about the variety of services that were available. He also took me to see my car as the final prep was being performed. It was obvious that Tom takes great pride in Valley Honda. I was especially impressed by the 40 plus service bays and the no appointment necessary policy. I certainly will have all of my future warranty and service work done at Valley. When my car was all prepped, Tom stayed nearly an hour after closing time to give me a detailed demonstration of all of the car’s features and accessories, especially the touch screen display and phone connections. He was extremely knowledgeable in this regard, and wanted to make sure that I understood everything. Tom had even checked my trade-in and found a CD in the radio, and, incredibly, provided me with new adhesive strips to attach my I-Pass transponder to the windshield! Amazing attention to detail! I drove away from the dealership feeling satisfied that I had been treated fairly and had received great service. It was very clear that Tom was genuinely interested in making sure that all of my needs were met and that I would be totally pleased with my Fit. I would highly recommend to anyone considering buying a new car that a call to Tom should be the first step in their purchasing process. More

The best dealership in Midwest I usually searched dealers by cars.com or cargurus.com, and this dealership never appeared there. However I got to know it by Odyclub.com when I was s I usually searched dealers by cars.com or cargurus.com, and this dealership never appeared there. However I got to know it by Odyclub.com when I was searching to purchase 2018 Odyssey, where someone posted a good deal. Back then, their website didn't function so well (actual cars didn't appear in the website) and since I couldn't see them in major websites like cars.com, I indeed had some doubt, and just sent a short email to them, without expecting anything. At the same time I contacted so many dealers (~20) in Chicago area to find the best deal. Then a dealer here in Valley Honda (Tom) sent me an offer that was better than my setup goal. I asked all the other dealers I contacted (I didn't disclose Valley Honda's name), but nobody could beat it up. It later turned out that many people in Odyclub also concluded that Valley Honda gives the best deal. I guess their strategy is just giving you the best possible deal to skip all the wiggling/negotiation process... Anyways, this made my life so much easier, since I am well aware of how painful and annoying the negotiation process can become. The purchase process was so straightforward and easy. Since my car wasn't built yet when I put my deposit, Tom gave me all the details about the status of the car being manufactured and shipped, so that in the end I got the car in the right timing. Before I visited, he made sure he would get all the necessary information from me so that we could save the process time. Then when I visited this dealership, I was so much impressed. This was the largest but neatest Honda dealership I've ever visited. A big show room, a big nice lounge space with cozy sofas and giant TVs, kids' playing space with video games, a lot of computers for personal use (they seem to even offer laptops), lots of vending machines where you can get even sandwiches. There are of course a lot of chairs and desks for customers and so many customers..., but what surprised me was that it didn't feel cramped like many other Honda dealers. Maybe it was because the entire space was so huge and the ceiling was tall. Also there were plenty of such "rest" areas for both adults and kids. I actually wonder why they didn’t post the ‘interior’ of their dealership in their website. Their website shows so many cars in their lot, yes sure. However I wasn’t just impressed by their size, but also the atmosphere and arrangement of what’s in their giant building. Maybe they would do so next time. It took 3.5 hours for the entire purchase process, and I am not complaining at all. It took time not because of the document processing (which was indeed pretty fast and efficient, and no pressure to purchase any extra warranties. I only purchased HondaCare which I planned before to purchase), but because Tom was so kind to give us (me and my wife) every possible instructions necessary and helpful for owning the car. He let me join in owners.honda.com. He explained all the technical details and security features of the car, and asked us how to set things up for our most convenience. Then when the car was finally ready (they made it extra clean… spotless. Tom also installed some plastic covers on the seats as I asked, and then I installed frontal seat covers I brought there) he set there with us and set things up like Apple Carplay, bluetooth, the security features and so on. He explained all the fancy stuff of the car (removal of the seat, how to fold and store the seats, adjusting the inclination…) He also explained about pretty much every button of the car (Honda Sensing and safety features of course, and back seat climate control, child lock…), so that if you videotape what he did, that’ll be a perfect comprehensive technical review of the car. Indeed his explanation was quite more detailed than most Youtube reviews of this Odyssey. When we are all done, it was already 6:40, after the closing hour (the dealership closes at 6 in Saturday). In fact I was a person who already purchased the vehicle even before visiting this dealership, so they could just give me a key and let me go. That could have save a significant time for them, and some time for me that moment, but then I would have to figure out all the features of the car later, ending up spending more time for that. I am still impressed how dedicated Tom could be. Instead of saying “Thank you, good bye,” he spent so much time to give us the best service that was beyond what I could expect/imagine. I cannot praise enough Tom and this dealership. If you are in Midwest, this is the place to go to buy a Honda. More

Tom's title of Sales Consultant does not really do full justice to describe his service to customers. He is really a total people and auto enthusiast rolled into one super professional with a great record as an enabler of auto ownership. I am sorry about fumbling here because yes, I am at a loss of words to describe Tom Propersi's touch. On my most recent purchase, I could not help but marvel at his enthusiasm as he was going over the changes made in rolling out the newly redesigned 2017 CR-V. Tom almost became a child playing with his favorite toys as he went over many of the features. When you are with Tom Propersi, he will totally understand your needs and patiently work with you to experience all the things Honda and Valley Honda stand for and much more. You will receive the highest level of courtesy, co-operation and understanding. I can honestly say that buying a car from Tom Propersi at Valley Honda is a total car buying and ownership experience, much like going to a famous resort and enjoying your favorite meal prepared by a world class chef. It seems we hang onto our minivans for 10 years or as long as possible and the one we lost was no exception. We would still be driving it had a flood not damaged it beyond repair. My husband and I went to other car manufacturers looking and test driving their minivans. Overall they were nice, but I couldn't stop thinking about how reliable and durable our previous Odyssey had been. We also did not have the best experience with a salesman at another manufacturer's dealership. I initially contacted Valley Honda inquiring about their used Odyssey inventory. Tom Propersi got back to me very quickly and spoke to me about our needs: mileage and price for a used minivan. On a lark, we went to Valley Honda on a Saturday just to see what they had in stock. Tom was busy with another customer, but we worked with Chase Tullet who was very polite, respectful and informative. We soon started considering a new minivan after we took a test drive in the 2018 Odyssey. These vehicles retain good value (as we learned when reviewing used van prices). Chase discussed our new van options and soon we were signing on the dotted line. When our vehicle came into the store, Tom Propersi spent a lot of time going over all the features of the van. There is a lot of technology in the dashboard, but with his step by step instructions and explanations, we were able to safely drive the vehicle home. Honda provides good documentation in the owners manual and we are learning something new everyday. As Tom said, "it's a beautiful vehicle" and he's right. Given how much time we spend in our cars these days, it is an absolute pleasure driving our Odyssey. More
