I recently visited Hennessy Lexus Gwinnett to purchase a new car after searching to find this location had the selection of Lexus 350h model I was interested in. I called and spoke to a sales rep on Thursd new car after searching to find this location had the selection of Lexus 350h model I was interested in. I called and spoke to a sales rep on Thursday Dec 21st, and he checked his inventory and confirmed the car was in stock. We set up the appointment for 6pm (1hr drive from Alpharetta) after my workday and I specifically requested the car to be ready for a test drive. When I got there at 6pm, Hussein was trying to locate the car key which took 45mins. After back and forth we decided to test drive the black car instead of the white that I had come in for. We did take an outer look at the white Lexus 350h model parked in the parking lot without the key but ended up driving the black color (not what I wanted as I wanted to see the interior color of the white). FYI the Proximity remote trunk release using the foot, failed to open on several attempts. This is a known issue according to Hussein. Finally, we sat down to run the numbers, the sale agreement was drafted with the MSRP Plus dealership add Ons. They gave me a $3000 discount on the MSRP but when it came to the add Ons I was reluctant on paying $3000 for ceramic coating, Nitrogen (96.00), Apex protection (487.00) etc. as these are not relevant to me. The sales manager (TOMMY JERNIGAN) comes in, no introduction of his name except emphasis that he is the sales manager. FYI I got his name from the sale agreement. Tom came in with emphasis that it was past 8pm (closing time) and arrogance on what seems to be the problem? When I explained the add ons were stated as optional and I had the right to choose what I wanted the car to have, he said they were already included in the car. So I said that is not true, there is no tints in the car as we speak. Hussein the sales rep confirmed the same. So why are you forcing me to purchase a car with add On that don’t exist and clearly states “Optional”. “Optional” means available to be chosen but not obligatory. So, what Tom ended up doing was taking off the ceramic coating ($3000) AND the initial discount ($3000) he had given me. This is where I told him you are wasting my time and yours in this bogus discussion. The deal failed to go through for $3000, and he walked away. I’m glad they lost my business. Would not recommend this dealership and definitely taking my business where it is appreciated More
