Experience means something. Tommy know the business and has excellent insight. He has years of sales experience at the dealership which is clear when you meet him personally. They did exactly what they said and how they said it, which is rare in the world of used cars. Tommy was great from start to finish with zero surprises tossed in. Vehicles in the lot are good cars. Hed this warning DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MOTORCARS OF LANSING! This is long but please read the whole thing to see how manipulative and slimy this dealership is. I made the mistake of trusting Motorcars LANSING! This is long but please read the whole thing to see how manipulative and slimy this dealership is. I made the mistake of trusting Motorcars especially the owner John Badawi and salesman Tommy Liles. I bought a 2011 Equinox from them. Tommy was the perfect salesman. Did everything he could to make the sale. Just as smooth as selling skunk oil. Well as I was driving away my oil warning came on and showed the oil they said they just changed was only 59% good. So I went home and had problem after problem with the oil. Tommy would say bring it in and i would make an appointment through Tommy and when i would get there tommy would say service was over booked can i bring it in another day. So I would say yes. Then the Equinox would do this chugging thing, stall and then i would put it in park in the middle of the street and start it up. I took it to my mechanic and they informed me it had no oil in it. It was just pouring out. I called Tommy and same thing again. Bring it in no time to see me. Finally on February 29,2020 i was driving down the street and all the warning lights came on and said shut engine down now. Of course I freaked out. I called Tommy and he said not a big deal shut it off wait about 10 minutes and it should be fine. NOPE! still saying shut engine off now. Called Tommy AGAIN, he said to have it towed there. It was 2 hrs until they could tow it so Tommy did send someone to pick me up. It is now April 16, 2020 and I still don't have a car. I did finally take it somewhere else and it is being worked on. Tommy kept telling me oh they are looking at it but they are really busy. One month later Jack the service manager got a chance to look at it but wouldn't pull the engine without me paying first. During all this time Tommy kept telling me he was talking to John and they would figure it out. I asked Tommy to have John call me several times and he never did. I left messages for John, nothing. Then they decide ok we will fix it you have a warranty right? I told Tommy again that no I did not I refinanced my loan and Wynn the warranty company would not transfer to my bank. Well then all xxxx broke loose because they were going to fix my Equinox on the warranty. Being that I didn't have one that didn't work. So Tommy comes up with this idea they will trade vehicles with me. Tommy stated they would pay off my loan for the Equinox and find another car for me. Again nothing was done. As usual Tommy and John blew me off. However I found a Ford escape at their Kalamazoo dealership and it was in my price range. I gave Tommy all the information to have it brought to Lansing. Two weeks later it was here. Then I had to wait a week to test drive it. Tommy sent me a text saying they would pay off my loan and get me the escape. Tommy made no effort to get financing. He told me to do it. WHAT! Then I meet with him again and, still did not have a car, and he gives me this piece of paper and now it says they are only paying $5000 on my loan as a trade in and added the rest of the loan to the escape loan! I am like what the heck, he is like no we will pay it off in full. We just have to do this on paper. Then virus hit and he didn't do a darn thing to help me. Finally, I woke up knew I was being majorly screwed over I had my car towed to another service dept. They pulled the engine and said it is not holding any oil at all. It will cost me$2200 to fix that. I am trying to get the paperwork for the purchase of the Equinox from the auction. Because the auction has to tell the dealer if there is anything wrong with it before the dealer buys it. Well do you think they will give it to me?! NOPE. Not so far. I speculate that they new it had a major oil problem but they would have my warranty pay for it. When for the umpteenth time I told Tommy I didn't have the warranty they dropped me like a hot potato. Tommy also had my second set of keys for the Equinox. He had them for 3 weeks they only needed a battery. He put them in his desk and never did anything with them. I called this past Monday to the dealership to see if Tommy was in and they transferred me to him. I said I need my keys. He said he wasn't at work and wasn't coming in until Saturday. I said mail them to me. His response, I will in a couple weeks. Well the dealership I took my Equinox to has loaner cars. For as long as Motorcars had my car, they would not loan me one because of insurance reasons, nor would they rent one for me. Awesome customer service,NOT!! I decide to drive to Motorcars and guess who is sitting at his desk, Tommy. Still hadn't taken care if my keys and gave them to someone else and they didn't know when he would be in. I know this is very long, but you need to know how Motorcars treats their customers once the sale is not. This dealership has no morals, integrity or scruples. Beware. I have also read their negative reviews. Their responses are pure bull crap! The positive reviews are mostly written by them. More

Worked hard to get me the car and deal expected. Tommy was great to work with and worked hard to get me the right car at the right price / payment. The buying experience was handled very well. How Tommy was great to work with and worked hard to get me the right car at the right price / payment. The buying experience was handled very well. However, the vehicle was a smoker's car and was never disclosed. But most importantly, the Cadillac CUE screen is non-responsive 95% of the time and showed these symptoms within a week of picking up the car. It has really detracted from a positive vehicle experience. I plan on reaching out to Tommy to consider a trade. More

Tommy Liles showed us the car, answered our questions, arranged a test drive, completed all paperwork, delivered our offer, and completed the sale in less than two hours! Returned a couple of days later to meet a technician Tommy recommended to program a spare transmitter and Jack Martinez also immediately arranged for his service crew to remove the locking lugs we'd discovered on the car with no key left by the previous owner. Great experience! Noted many, many other quality vehicles. More
