Finlayot, Hello, I understand it is frustrating to deal with unfortunate repairs that come unexpectedly. Your vehicle has been coming here for oil changes and Massachusetts state inspections only. You have never had any repairs or maintenance done here and declined several services and diagnostics over the years in which you have the right to do. Now, for the first time your vehicle was towed in, not even running or able to start. Once our technician diagnosed and replaced the main relay and checked over the electrical and charging system due to it being jump started incorrectly. We notified you it was running and fixed. You then told us about a completely separate issue with your heating system not working. You expected us to diagnose and repair a separate problem, along with fixing the immediate concern, with no additional charge. That’s is not fair and obviously it was a separate problem we had no idea about, until we were able to get it running. I understand that the Toyota dealer helped you out as they work on these vehicles every day and know their problems well and are able to correct them quickly. I am sure they were trying to impress a new customer in hopes you will go back there for business. I am sorry you feel the way you do about your recent visit. I wouldn’t have minded helping out, we just could not do it at no charge as it was a completely different concern than what it came in for “not running”.
