I have previously purchased a new Nissan vehicle from them in 2016 when they were First Team and really loved the experience I had then. They worked with me on my trade-in, price, and got my payments to them in 2016 when they were First Team and really loved the experience I had then. They worked with me on my trade-in, price, and got my payments to exactly where I wanted and I only spent about two hours there total from start to finish. However, when I went to purchase a brand new 2022 Hyundai Hybrid from what is now Southern Team, I had a completely different and vastly disappointing experience. I know that due to the pandemic and supply chain issues, hybrid vehicles are harder to come by now. So when one was finally available for purchase at Southern Team, I jumped at the chance. However, there was literally NO flexibility with price or payments (including with my trade-in which was a flat offer with no room for negotiating). If anything, I ended up paying way MORE than the MSRP, which is ridiculous. In addition, they forced me to pay $1200 for a LoJack system and "ACW Traceable theft" (which I assume is part of the system?) that was installed on the car, which I did not consent to (and am unable to remove since I don't even know where it's been placed). Hyundai already offers BlueLink for all their new vehicles which basically offers the same exact services as LoJack (remote car finder, on demand diagnostics and tracking, etc), so adding this onto the vehicle was pointless and not something that I wanted at all. They told me that the LoJack was required by Southern Team and was not something that was negotiable. Honestly, I should have just walked away from the purchase then and gone to Duncan Hyundai for a better experience. But, I knew that finding another Hyundai Hybrid would take time and this one was already available to me, so I ended up purchasing it anyway. Although I have really enjoyed the car itself, I do regret the purchase and don't think I'll ever be purchasing a new vehicle from Southern Team again. They are clearly out to make as much profit as possible and rip off the consumer by adding on unnecessary accessory systems such as "LoJack" at the consumer's cost (and I'm sure they're getting an additional kickback from the company that makes LoJack as well, for "selling" so many) in addition to marking up vehicles above MSRP for the final sales price and charging $800 for a processing fee. Southern Team is NOT a dealership that I would ever recommend anyone purchasing a car from and they've certainly lost a customer in me. More

Very upset at how my “new” vehicle was handled. Received a call on Friday my new car had arrived but it had “minor” damage. A “small crack” on the plastic and someone would call me Monday after the shop looked at it. No one called me all week. I called back the next Friday inquiring what was going on. I was told the bumper cover should be arriving within the next 30 minutes. I told them I would like to see pictures of the damage to the vehicle before I spent that amount of money. I was ignored. Needless to say I did not purchase the vehicle, I told them I wasn’t interested in purchasing a “new” vehicle at new vehicle prices that already needed body work done. I guess some unsuspecting soul paid new prices for a vehicle that was damaged on delivery. More
