I had one of the worst, most shady experiences at Tunkhannock AutoMart a few weeks ago. I was selling my 2024 jeep and I received a Car Gurus Instant Offer and I accepted it online. It let me know that the offer was valid at Tunkhannock Auto Mart. They reached out to me eager about the buy. I spoke extensively with Brandon, who is their Car Gurus liaison. I sent him pictures of my vehicle, which was pristine and well taken care of. The vehicle was barely two years old, immaculately kept, and even the plastic still on some parts, and had original new car smell. It was my secondary vehicle but I no longer wanted a car payment and I also did not want a hybrid anymore, which was the reason behind selling it. I scheduled with Brandon to bring my jeep in that week and to complete the sale. He had my information, pictures of my vehicle that I personally sent to him two days before going up. From my research, unless the vehicle did not match the description from what I entered, there was no reason for them not to honor that Car Gurus offer. So, I drive up but two days later but that morning I reached out to Brandon to make sure we were all set, if anything else was needed. Brandon ignored my messages- I gave it a few hours. I called the office and all of a sudden he says how I need to “temper my expectations”… whatever that was supposed to mean. So I go up and Brandon is “busy” so they give me Travis to work with. Travis delivers the news to me that they are partnered with another local dealership where I also had my jeep appraised, and it would be a conflict of interest to give me more than what they offered to buy it for.. which was around $3k less than the Car Gurus offer. I said how this isn’t a deal through Tunkhannock Auto Mart, this is through Car Gurus Instant Offer. Completely different and should not be a conflict of interest. I said where does it say that there’s a non-compete with Car Gurus Instant Offer? **Mind you, they all saw my vehicle when I first arrived. On a side note, that dealership that they “partner with” appraised my vehicle recently and the appraiser told me that my jeep was one of the most well taken care of vehicles and truly in “excellent condition unlike other vehicles that come in here where their owners say it’s excellent and it’s not”… that other dealership KNEW my vehicle was in great condition but of course they were going to lowball me, and also kept pressuring me to trade it in which I didn’t want or need to do. **So anyway, Travis never answers me when I asked for documentation about it being a conflict if the sale is done through Car Gurus Instant Offer and he said “I’ll be right back” .. he leaves for a few moments and looks at my vehicle and all of a sudden I get an email from Car Gurus saying “your car was inspected!” And the offer suddenly dropped $2,725!!! So I look at the report and they said that my tires needed replacing. Laughable- —-the jeep barely had 9k miles on it! And they also said “other adjustments” with NO written explanation but he verbally said that they noticed “chips on the rear door hinge”…INSANITY. There were NO chips whatsoever. If I could add the photos here I would. I still have them even though I did end up selling my vehicle elsewhere for more. I could not believe how shady the entire experience was and I would not recommend anyone to go here. I was furious and walked out out of there, but it is their loss. They should be ashamed of their poor business practices and also lost out on two potential deals in the near future. My mother was in the market for a new retirement vehicle (and she did end up buying elsewhere last week) and my father is also looking for a ford f-250 super duty this fall, but we will be glad to give our business ANYWHERE but here. Beware of how scammy and undermining these sales people are. I know it is a part of the business but they truly thought they could pull a fast one. More

Out of state out of mind continues I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in September. Nothing but problems with not only the vehicle they sold me but I am still waiting on the ti I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in September. Managing Partner David Senkow replied to my first poor review apologizing and stating he was "looking into things"...two plus weeks later...nothing. Gave him my cell but I guess he is busy. Employee in the title/reg dept is a challenge to work with. When she is out nothing can get processed...so the information I needed FRIDAY will have to wait until she is back (out for personal reasons) on THURSDAY...but it's ok I am just the customer and the car is paid for so no motivation here. Kevin has become the most helpful but he can only do so much... More

Out of sight out of mind.. Do not buy a vehicle from this dealership if you are not local and cannot get back to them for problems. They will not answer your call. I have called Kevin Scharwaztrauber more than a dozen times, I have left messages for Dave Senkow...NOTHING. I have a vehicle with a temp plate that will expire after tomorrow and still don't have reg and title. Title person is out AGAIN (she guaranteed she would call me back yesterday lol) and no one can fill in for her or look at her email. Bought my daughter who is a nurse with a critical job a vehicle to get to work and she will be unable to use it as of tomorrow. Was just told by the woman who answers the phone (feel most sorry for her) that Kevin was out cleaning snow off the cars and that he will call me from his cell phone. I said I am sure he will. So I guess I will call every 20 minutes until I get someone to assist me or opt to tow the vehicle back to them next week. HORRIBLE customer service. Any issues and they are gone...good luck to anyone else from out of state. More

Drove 3 hours for a great deal!!! Found the perfect Grand Cherokee at Tunkannhock, but of course it was 3 hours away. Internet shopping makes this process that much easier. They worked the numbers, treated me fairly and even Certified my new vehicle with a CPO warranty. No local dealers in my area would do this. I will definitely return for the next purchase. More
