My vehicle was in and out of the service department for better part of 6 weeks. During this time parts were changed out and warranted as bad because it did not fix the problem. Then parts were changed that better part of 6 weeks. During this time parts were changed out and warranted as bad because it did not fix the problem. Then parts were changed that arguable were not necessary to change. Costing 4,000. This did not solve the problem and then I was told I need a new engine. I was told following the ford recommended changes for issues reported. However I feel that fixes need to be adequately verified prior to returning car to customer. This most certainly did not occur. In fact, it is my contention that there was no through investigation into the problem even once while there. The turbos I replaced for 4000 based on recommendation prior to finding out head was cracked, because the turbos didn’t fix the issue, needed up jsut being a total loss for me because I no longer have a truck. I think is proper and thorough investigation, appropriate mechanic work vs just shotgunning parts based on ford flow sheet. That this cost would not have been one I had to eat. The dealership after all this was very slow, poor communicator, and ultimately made no REAL efforts to try and compensate the situation. In fact, I was told just a bad situation, no fault of either, is till owed for the turbos and they couldn’t really help me find a car I wanted. In all fairness, they did bring in a Maverick for me to look at and made some very weak efforts at crafting a deal over two weeks. This is not my first run in as I had issues with a brake replacement they completed and with tire replacement. At the end of the day, they are very poor communicators and customer service is severely lacking. I asked specific questions to show me confirmation of bad turbo- could not do and asked for bore scope images of both the turbo and cracked head. They did neither. There is potential that the turbo was picking up coolant from the cracked head and that that the turbo seal was not bad, I do not feel they adequately looked at and confirmed that this was the issue when recommended change. I believe the cracked head was there the whole time. I told them at initial drop off that I was burning coolant, could smell it. I said that thought it was the head. 6 weeks later, 5000+ in repairs and rental cars later. I am left with a car and a head problem. Let alone the first thing they replaced was an oil supply line. When it was obvious that the smell was coolant. Would not recommend them. Time and time again have small issues. I have a significant lack of trust in this dealership. More
