Worst dealership and service department I have EVER experienced!!! On Saturday August 20, 2022 Daytona KIA severely cracked my windshield in 2 spots when I took it in for a very simple recall. They experienced!!! On Saturday August 20, 2022 Daytona KIA severely cracked my windshield in 2 spots when I took it in for a very simple recall. They were to inspect the windshield; not damage it! Worst part is they LIED. "Tyler" of Daytona Kia tried to tell me that they found the damaged glass during the inspection process and that I brought it in that way. Luckily for me, they took pictures of my car before they took it back and started their recall "repair". I had a almost brand new windshield on my car and told them without a doubt I most certainly did NOT bring my car in with windshield damage. I was told that the service manager "Albert" would call me Monday when he got in. He did not; I had to called him. He admitted the damage and would call me when he had update on replacement windshield status. Friday 8/26 I had heard not a word from Daytona KIA so I went to "Albert's" office where I met the rudest and most arrogant man ever. He could not provide me proof that my windshield had even been ordered when asked. "Take my word" he said; as I laughed in his face. "Take your word? When you and your men flat out lie to my face"? I asked for a loaner since its raining here daily and water is leaking/dripping into my car on the occasion that I do drive it. His reply was "I cannot do that". On Monday 8/29 Albert called and again said stated my windshield is on order should be in within a week (but I thought we already said this last week?); depending on shipping, etc. In the meantime, the leather above my steering wheel on the dash started bubbling; no doubt due to the humidity and water exposure, etc. My son had made contact at some point during this nonesense with one of the sales managers "Wayne" and explained the situation. He was unaware and offered a loaner but at this point, we had taped the crack that leaked and I was in no way comfortable in leaving my car in their possession for any length of time since "Albert" made it clear to me on 8/26 that he has over 30+ Kia's sitting on his lot for repairs and mine was pretty much just another number. Very long story short, the windshield did not acually arrive until on or about 9/8. At this point I was not available because of a family emergency however on 9/15 I spoke with "Tim" and did schedule an appointment for my car to come in on Monday 9/19 at 8:30 and I was to receive a loaner. Guess what? When I got there they did not have a loaner "available" and I waited over an hour to get a courtesy ride home. To top it off, they are claiming no responsibility for the leather damage on the dash; when we have pictures of a good dash when I originally brought my car in before THEY CRACKED MY WINDSHIELD AND EXPOSED IT TO OUTSIDE ELEMENTS! It would be like leaving your window cracked 24/7 for 2 weeks. YOU JUST DONT DO THAT HERE! I was told I would get my car back the same day but of course, that did NOT happen. They waited until 4:12 in the afternoon to call me and let me know that they would have to keep my car over night because...wait for it: "the glass company had a hard time removing the glass so they had to order a new seal". Are you kidding me? AND it took you all day to let me know this? Ridiculous and subpar service at best. Daytona KIA deserves ZERO stars. "Albert" is good at making excuses and comparing others troubles to yours. Who cares? They surely don't. However, I would be willing to bet that if the shoes were reversed, they would definitely feel a little bit different! The only good part of Daytona Kia is Ray...Ray gave me a ride home yesterday and he was pretty awesome. Ray is also the fantastic photographer who provided the proof the Daytona KIA damaged my car. Thank you Ray. Daytona KIA needs more Ray's and less Albert's! I spoke to "Wayne" this morning (8/20) about the situation. He was off yesterday and of course, he "did not receive" the 2 messages I left for him to call me. Daytona KIA not only LIES to their "customers", they apparently also LIE to their fellow employees and management. The repair side stated they offered me a loaner yesterday and I refused. YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME DAYTONA KIA!!!! And they are still claiming no fault to my warped leathered dash BUT...they will bring my car to me when it's done this afternoon so that they "don't inconvenience me any further". Get OUT of here...lol. STAY AWAY FROM DAYTONA KIA AT ALL COSTS! Let's hope KIA Corporate is more responsive now that they have been made aware. More
