I would highly recommend Checkered Flag VW to everyone. My salesman, Bryan, was awesome. I had gone to a different VW dealership the week prior to my purchase at Checkered Flag and that "salesman" pulled t My salesman, Bryan, was awesome. I had gone to a different VW dealership the week prior to my purchase at Checkered Flag and that "salesman" pulled the car around for me, opened the door and said, "here it is." Way to make the sale, buddy. Not only that but when I was leaving, he asked for my name and number. I said I preferred not to be called and instead left my email address. Well, that afternoon I received a call from him on my answering machine. He had gone and looked up my number after I left - not scoring any points with me! This is why I drove 72 miles to buy my car from Checkered Flag. I knew I was dealing with the right people as soon as I called. This is definitely the dealership with a knowledgeable sales team willing to go above and beyond for the customer. This couldn't have been a smoother transaction...even with my husband out of town. Bryan was the best salesman I have ever worked with! I never felt pressured into anything and every question I had was promptly answered. I have two young boys and they really helped me out with them at the dealership (I have no babysitter) the day I bought the car. The whole experience was great and I'm extremely happy I drove the distance to get my VW. I couldn't have gotten a better deal anywhere else. Brian was very friendly and helpful, showing me several cars in my price range. He let me take one home overnight. He went to the manager and they came back with several good deals on these new cars. My wife was out of town at the time, and when she returned, she was shown all the cars and how to work all the extras on the car (satellite radio, sun roof,navigational system, seats that moved in two directions, etc.). I happen to just stop by the dealership on a Sunday afternoon that they were open with the intent to just look at what was out their. My nniece had just purchased a new tuscan and I thought I would look at a used late model one that I felt was in my price range. When my fiance and i arrived at the lot we were approached by Rich who I have to tell you has very good people skills. H\I told him what I was looking for, and he showed me the ones on the lot, and he offered to show me some new o8 and 09 models that they had that with incentives and all would almost be close to the price of a used model. I fell in love with one inparticular. I left the dealership that day with the intent to go to my banking institute and get financed, however at that time early Feb, I had some personal family issue that came up so my focus on buying a vehicle was put on the side until we got everything that we had to take care of done. WITH THAT SAID AND MY FOCUS WAS ON BUYING A VEHICLE we went straight back to checkered flag and asked for Rich again, because of the way he was with us that first day, (during the time of my crisis he did stay in contact with me). From the first time we went there I made a promise to myself and Rich that if and when I bought a vehicle it would be there and with Rich. I also need to tell you that I have a sister who works as a service writer for Jim Price chevrolet in Charlottesville Va. and know that I can get an employees discount from buying a vehicle from there and the salesman from therre offered to match any price from checkered flag, but had to decline because of the way I was treated from the get-go with checkered flag.Just an fyi my niece did buy her tuscan from Jim Price. MY step mom and father have bought cars from checkered flag, an Elantra 2x.and just 2 years ago an Audi. My car buying experience was really a pleasant experience, Rich could not have been nicer or answered my questions more honestly and through. More
