In Defense of our Dealership the issue is between the customer and Lexus financial in the first place. The customer returned a vehicle "that was purchased else where" on Wednesday May 1st to our dealer with one Key. Our courteous staff informed the customer that if the vehicle is grounded with one key that he would be sub-sequentially be charged for the missing key from Lexus financial. Our staff offered to hold the car in or small lot until later that night when he would have the opportunity to look for his second key. Long story short our staff tried for three days to call the customer to find out when in fact he planned to drop off the key and were unsuccessful. So after holding the car for three days with no communication from the customer we "grounded" the car informing Lexus the car was returned and ready to be inspected and picked up. The customer called today May 6th and spoke with my female receptionist who explained the car had been grounded after several failed attempts to contact him. The customer then proceeded to belittle and scream at my receptionist. The receptionist then transferred the belligerent customer to me where I explained just how the procedure between Lexus Financial and the dealer ship grounding the vehicle works, and seemed to be receptive but annoyed. The customer then entered the dealership 30min latter with his second key (Monday 6th "4 days" later) demanding to be given a receipt for his key. When the receptionist mentioned that she doesn't have receipt for second key he began to yell at our female receptionist. The receptionist then entered our sales office upset after being screamed at from the customer so the general manager himself went out to try to speak with the customer. The general manager calmly attempted to speak with the irate customer however after the customer threw the GM's business card in his face and told him to go "F@#k Himself" and asked to "Take this outside" it became very apparent that there was nothing that we could do to rectify the station that the customer had managed to put himself in. For the safety of our staff and our customers we asked him to leave, and we would not call local law enforcement.
