My husband had located four cars online that he wished to check out, but decided to stop in at Waikem first to investigate the Mitsubishi line, which we had no personal knowledge of , but had heard good things about. Carl Holt began to work with us, and it became apparent that it was going to be a good experience for us. He listened to us and addressed our questions, as they arose, also managing to give us all the information we needed . After test driving three different models, I had to leave to honor a previous commitment. It was pretty much decided that we would be buying an Outlander Sport , at this point. But after returning, midafternoon, and receiving more education about another car, the Mirage, my husband decided to buy both cars. Carl, at no time, exerted any overt salesmanship to close this unusual deal. He treated us with the regard one would give a family member, but always moving the sale process along with all information and education we would need to make an informed decision. We remarked to him that afternoon that he was so unlike any car salesman we had ever dealt with and he replied, " Well, I'm not so much out to make a sale as to gain a customer, right now, and in the future." That is exactly what evolved. We did not leave until midevening, and were absolutely thrilled with the deals, the cars themselves, and with our treatment by Carl. He had made us testimonies of his philosophy, and we will relate this story to anyone looking for someone about to go car shopping. More
