My Review of Herb Chambers Hyundai of Auburn:
I started with a transmission problem on 7/1/08 at 97,000 miles. I had my car towed to my mechanic who recommend I have it towed to the Hyuandi dealership for replair since it was covered under their stellar 100,000mile 10 yr warranty. After calling the service dept and speaking with Jen, who wasn't very pleasent or helpful I knew this was going to be something I would never forget. She basically told me that my tranny would not be covered due to not getting a tranny flush every 30,000miles. My manual says different at 105,000miles. After getting recoreds from my mechanic as well as showing her the manual she just got worse from there and had answers for everything. All she told me was they needed more detailed info of what was done to the car since what I gave her wasn't specific enough. THEN it would be turned into a "Hyuandi Rep" for a yay or nay if it was going to be covered. I rented a car the same day my car went to the dealership $44 a day. the next day 7/3 she called and avoided every question about what was wrong with my car. I asked to speak to her Mgr, Bob who conviently left for the day. So I was told that he would be in on Saturday from 7am-10pm. We got there, Bob was not there, so so went and spoke to Dan who is the GM of the dealership. he assured he'd get the ball rolling first thing monday (7/7) am. So like Dan said, I got a call from Bob the service Mgr who told me "Lou" the Rep would be in that morning to look at what was going on. 4pm came and no call from Bob. I called him and he said "Lou" wasn't going to be in until wednesday but he was trying to call someone. Umm... ok if you knew this morning WHY would you call at 4pm. 4:35pm came and Bob told me that No, it wasn't going to be covered due to the fact that I didn't have a flush at 30,000 miles. (Despite what my manual says). Because he looked at a 2004 manual and it said I should have one based on driving conditions. Well, Bob, not according to my 2003 manual. I told him to please have my car in a convienent spot so the tow truck and come pick it up and bring it to my mechanic, because hell no I wasn't give them my money after screwing me over! I got there, it was wedged in between 2 cars that we needed to have moved. We went inside to claim the keys and Bob was nothing but an arrogant you know what who had no experience how to deal with customers and keep them happy. But the feeling of having my Hyuandi towed on a flat bed in front of the dealership with all to see was a little satisfying. It's a little sad really, because I had been talking to Marty about buying a 2008 Elantra, and his lost a sale beause his service department made him lose a customer. I will never ever set foot on a Hyuandi dealership again.

My Review of Herb Chambers Hyundai of Auburn:
Not an honest dealership. Recommended I get my timing belt changed at 42,444 miles, I told them to go ahead and do. Afterwards and after doing some research, the timing doesn't need changing until 60,000 miles (was not extra wear on the car) and should have been under warranty but the dealership would not put under warranty and charged me $502.47. I spoke with Hyundai US Warranty Dept., Bob Pascarelli lied to the Warranty Dept. and inturn I have gotten o resolution. I have been speaking with Nicole (Herb Chambers Admin) who told me she would have a check cut for 10% of my 1,060.18 bill but that never happened either. This dealership (and most likely all of Herb Chambers) is not interested in customer service and from the moment I started questioning them, nothing factual has come out of their mouth.

My Review of Herb Chambers Hyundai of Auburn:
Learn from others experience..... THINK TWICE BEFORE DEALING WITH THIS DEALERSHIP". All dealers are the same... however, this one really hits the lowest rung in customer service.

My experience with this dealer was extremly frustrating; and I empathize with customers sharing negative ratings for this dealership. I guess its not uncommon with Hyundai of Auburn (MA).

I had around 14k on my Santa Fe and the brakes lights came up frequently on my dash board. Went to the dealer; the service center mechanic "explained" the issue and said the warranty doesn't cover it. I would need to pay $159.00 from my pocket (including parts and labor).

Obviously, I didn't buy in... I raised the issue with service Manager and the Dealer Management at Herb Chambers-Auburn. Nothing happened... Got a cold shoulder.

Frustrated, next week I got the job done by local auto mechanic. All it took was replenish brake fluid and adjusting the brakes.

Never again I'm going to set foot in that crooked dealership.

Enligntened customer.

My Review of Herb Chambers Hyundai of Auburn:
1. I didn't want this vehicle until all the issues that I brought up with the Sales Rep were addressed, and to date I still do NOT have the car.
2. After all this, I received my PAYMENT BOOKLET in the mail for the car I STILL don't have yet, and most likely will never have at this point. It's been almost two weeks.
3. It took a call to the dealership that was doing work on the car to actually get the truth about what was going on, after repeatedly asking the same thing of this dealership.
