I purchased a 2020 Ford Expedition from Homer Skelton Ford in Millington, TN under the Blue Advantage Gold Certification. Nothing about this went the way it was supposed to. The idea behind purchasing Ford in Millington, TN under the Blue Advantage Gold Certification. Nothing about this went the way it was supposed to. The idea behind purchasing a certified used vehicle is that it's been thoroughly checked and reconditioned so there are no problems (I purchased this car sight unseen based upon that premise and the information provided by the sales staff at Homer Skelton Ford). Unfortunately, this is NOT the approach Homer Skelton Ford took with this vehicle. Instead, they did "just enough" to be able to certify it then passed the headache of getting issues fixed under warranty to the buyer. The vehicle has an issue with transmission and/or rear differential causing it to shake violently under certain conditions (nobody can look at it for a month due to service backlogs), the brakes vibrate, the driver's seat has something broken inside, the trim piece for the third row seat is broken, and one of the headlight housings is cracked causing the lens to fog up. The used car manager seemed to be supportive in helping to resolve the issues, but as soon as my checked cleared they ghosted me. Beyond that, the car was filthy upon delivery (food and soda spilled on the dash and console causing buttons to stick, dirt caked under the back hatch and glass, dog hair and food between and the seats, dead bugs and trash in the door pockets, windshield washer fluid streaked all over the front bumper), the rear wiper was not changed, the floor mats were replaced with some cheap all weather versions, the fuel filler funnel was missing, and probably ten other issues I've not found yet. I feel like this dealership has taken full advantage of the fact that I am not a local that can come straight in and complain to them. Overall, this is the WORST car buying experience I've ever had. In 2021, i took my truck to get the transmission fluid changed. Being a Ford dealership, I assumed correct Ford Motorcraft fluid would be used. Now 35k miles later, my truck has developed transmission pro changed. Being a Ford dealership, I assumed correct Ford Motorcraft fluid would be used. Now 35k miles later, my truck has developed transmission problems. When i pulled out my receipt from Homer Skelton Ford, I realized that not only did they not service my truck with Ford Mercon LV fluid as Ford directs, but they used a bargain brand BG non LV fluid(BG even offers an LV fluid 315 but they did not used it. 314 is regular synthetic). I called Homer Skelton service department 3 days ago to inform them of this problem and was told they would call me back. Still no call back. More
