This dealership had the vehicle I wanted at the right price. Outside of those factors my experience was quite insulting. The salesperson was very “meh.” I watched the sales manager tell a salesperson that if he did something again he would get fired ((which is totally fine but show some professionalism and do not do that on the sales floor in front of customers). So this is a bit of a long story that starts on Wednesday. Initially we had driven down after work from Chuluota (180+ miles!) in search of what seemed like a really good deal for a Honda CRV. So w Wednesday. Initially we had driven down after work from Chuluota (180+ miles!) in search of what seemed like a really good deal for a Honda CRV. So we arrived late in the evening. We had called, been called, and texted several times prior to leaving to make sure that that specific vehicle was available. However, due to a mix up, when we arrived, somehow that vehicle had already been sold. So we’d essentially driven over 180 miles / 3 1/2 hours for nothing 😭. So it didn’t start so well. However, the staff on site was apologetic and fairly helpful to show us an alternative vehicle that was a bit more pricey than the one we came for, but that we really loved. However, since we weren’t prepared financially at the time, we made the drive all the way back home with nothing. We visited 3 other Honda dealers on Thursday, as our search became more earnest, but nothing compared to what we had seen on Wednesday night in condition and price of the CRV’s available. At this point, a shout out to Honda of Ft Myers’ inventory, as they have at least FIVE times the inventory of any other dealer we’d visited, and all very well priced. The good news is that in the meantime, we had actually managed to get some income in that allowed us to afford the more expensive vehicle we had viewed on Wednesday. But we were still a bit confused and tired of car shopping in all honesty. Friday Morning. I receive a text from MARIA from Honda of Fort Myers. She wasn’t in the loop on Wednesday, but apologized for the experience that we’d had, and when I mentioned the Honda we saw that were interested in, she immediately went and got the keys, took a picture of the keys, texted the picture to me, and guaranteed that she would have it for us if we were able to make it. So I started down again, and during the whole drive MARIA kept checking in with me and giving me the information that I was asking for along the way. Amazing service and support. When I arrived, MARIA was patient, helpful, and even showed me another vehicle that I wanted to see so I could do some comparisons. She helped me get a hold of the last set of all weather mats as well, which was awesome! When it came time for payment, ERIC was amazing. That portion of the process can be a little boring and confusing - I’ve done it several times before - but ERIC was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and friendly, and we even swapped some stories and experiences - he’s an amazing cook by the way - and he made that part very smooth, easy, and not boring. Overall we are ecstatic with the value, beauty and quality of our purchase, and again, kudos to MARIA, ERIC, and the rest of the awesome staff at the amazingly WELL-INVENTORIED Honda of Fort Myers!
