My Review Of John Paul's Automotive:

I have owned my (new to me) 2008 Buick Enclave CXL (48K miles), for maybe a month. I purchased the vehicle from another dealership (non-Buick), and am the second owner.

Over the month of ownership, I had experienced sporadic 'messages' on the DIC indicating 'Park Assist Off', Traction Control Off' and/or 'Stabila Trac Off', and strange shifting of the transmission. I made an appointment at John Paul’s for Saturday 4/20, and expected to be fixed and on my way home in 1 1/2 hours. After checking my car over, it turns out that my issues were something that could not be fixed in the allotted time.

I was given a 2013 Buick Enclave (just a beautiful ride) as a loaner, and sent on my way, with a request that I not worry...

They worked on my car fixing, and testing for three days. I was able to pick up my car last evening, and was blown away by the phrase 'No Charge'... Seems that I was close enough to the 5 year portion of the 5 year/100K Bumper to Bumper warranty, that Jay and Sol were able to convince 'Mother Buick' to cover the costs!

My issues have been resolved, the Enclave feels like a 'new' car, no more Phantom DIC messages, and free... What could be better?

When I first called John Paul’s, I told them I was looking to establish a relationship with a dealer I could trust. The crew at John Paul’s really impressed me with their great work, and dedication to fixing my problems. The fact that I had never before even stepped foot in this dealership, I came away knowing I will return, if I ever need dealer service in the future.

My Review Of John Paul's Automotive:

Found on Craigslist so I already knew what I wanted, Just could I get it for what I wanted. Mike was quick to respond. I came down, we drove it, looked it all over. All the while we were telling jokes and having some coffee. It honestly didn't feel like a transaction. Everybody in the dealership seemed to be in great spirits despite the cold. We sit down to negotiate, and there really is no negotiation. They had the best price around. They knew it, I knew it, All parties were happy. I did get Free Car Washes for life though! That's a bonus. Very pleased and Would recommend. Thank you to all involved.

My Review Of John Paul's Automotive:

Went in to have a GMC recall taken care of that I found out about thru my On Star report. The manager also notified me by email and we set up a time for late Monday morning. I got there about 10:30 a.m. and was taken care of promptly. I brought a book to read, but I only got thru a few pages and the car was ready and it was washed as I asked. I was on my way before I knew it.

My Review Of John Paul's Automotive:

My husband and I are in the market for a vehicle. Problem is we can't decide new for me, or used for him. Wayne was a pretty nice car salesman and patient with us. We test drove a new Enclave and a used Malibu. We are just beginning our search and wanted to weigh the pros and cons of both, plus see what is out there.

After we met the general manager Don, we left. What a complete jerk! Sorry you lost the sale Wayne! Oh, and we really did not like the policy of the salesperson having to drive the car off the lot for a test drive. That's the first time I've ever come across this "insurance policy" and we have been test driving high end brands. . And finally, the bird in the showroom is disgusting.

My Review Of John Paul's Automotive:

If you enjoy having your time wasted, being lied to about pricing, and not being treated as an intelligent individual, then this is the dealer for you! Our story:

My wife and I were looking for a reasonably priced GMC Terrain. We inquired yesterday (July 31, 2012) via telephone/web about a slightly used one listed on their website. We were upfront with the sales person about how much we were looking to spend. We clearly laid out how much we were putting down and how much we were looking to take on in a monthly payment. We were told that it wouldn't be a problem, and that they would be able to make that work for us with either the used one (which the sales person claimed had more features) or a new one (the base model).

We asked for clear pricing before traveling to the dealership as we didn't want to waste our time going down there. We were told that to give us the prices, we had to submit the information for a credit check. Even though we were hesitant to do so, we did it. After they ran a credit check, they then refused to give out a price quote over the phone or via email. Needless to say, at this point, we should have just given up. However, the salesperson repeatedly said that they can meet our numbers, that it had been cleared with the manager, etc. So, we went to the dealership.

When we got to the dealership, it was clear that we had been lied to. The used vehicle was a base GMC Terrain with no additional features. The salesperson did not have an offer prepared, and it appeared as if she had not cleared our numbers with anyone at the dealership. We sat there for two hours while she kept talking with the manager and/or finance guy and kept coming back with offers that were thousands of dollars more expensive than what we were looking to spend and/or that were offered online. I may have been hallucinating, but I think the price of the vehicle actually kept increasing as we sat there!

This was a complete waste of hours of our night and the gas to drive to the dealership. We should have been told over the phone that they were not going to meet our prices.

After this experience, I would never work with this company again.

Again, we are sorry you were not pleased with your experience with our dealership. At John Paul's Automotive we work hard every day to supply every customer with caring and honest customer service. We were more than willing to work with you and even beat a quote you had received initially. We are also sorry you felt you didn't receive your quote in a timely manner, but we were trying everything we could to meet your pricing and vehicle requests and in no way believe this took an excessive amount of time. We sincerely wish you the best in finding the vehicle you are looking for and at the price you desire. Ms. Schiller,

Everything you just said is a lie. I cannot believe that you have the audacity to make comments such as that on this review site.

1) Your team was not willing to work with us. We told your salesperson up front exactly how much we wanted to pay. She told us multiple times over the phone that this wasn't going to be a problem, she can sell the vehicle for that price, that she had checked with her manager and it was OK. All we had to do was come in to get the deal done. Guess what? She lied. She had done none of those things.

2) Had you been willing to beat a quote we had received from another dealer, we would have bought a car from your dealership. Instead, you lured us into your dealership with knowingly false statements guaranteeing a sales price you had no intention of honoring. Your sales team then tried to sell a used vehicle to us for thousands more dollars than we told them upfront we wanted to pay and for thousands more dollars than a comparably equipped new vehicle. Does this sound like working with us? I don't think so.

3) There was nothing timely about the way your salesperson treated us. We told her upfront what we wanted to pay. When we arrived, even though she told us she had cleared the price with her manager, she had nothing prepared. She then kept showing us over and over again the same higher sales price we said we did not want to pay. This took over two hours. This is two hours of my valuable time that I lost that night. All she had to do was tell us over the phone that she couldn't meet our numbers. That is not hard, and it is not time consuming. Had she done that, this whole situation could have been avoided.

4) I love that I emailed you to discuss my grievances, and I have not heard back from you. However, you manage to post follow up responses on these websites. I know the first post was a stock response, but how about the second? There is no way, since you haven't spoken to me, that you can know the details of our situation. Do you just have the response prepared because you treat all customers like this?

For those reading this review, be wary of dealing with John Paul's Automotive. They are unethical and liars.

My Review Of John Paul's Automotive:

A sales guy called me because he said his dealership was interested in buying my car that I had for sale on craigslist. I told him what I wanted for my car for sale and he said multiple times, yes we can give you that price. I said ok here is the VIN #, check out the carfax and then call me back. So he did. He said that he checked the carfax and he talked to his used car sales guy and I should come in and they would buy my car from me or use toward trade in. So I called again to confirm that his wasn't a waste of time and that he had double checked everything with manager... Oh yayaya. He said, it's all good come on in. So I drive to dealership, which isn't just right around the corner either... And the used car manager comes out and says ok, let's check the VIN#. Right then I knew this other sales guy lied... He never checked the VIN after he told me he did. Comes out from inside and says, nope we can't buy your car, sorry. REALLY. Whata Joke. That is why I called 2 times before I drove out there ... To make sure I wasn't wasting my time. Wow. Lied to, decieved. Soooo mad at this sales guy. I'm pretty sure I knew more about cars than he did. He shouldn't be in the car business. I can't even describe to you how angry I was at that moment. Just rediculous. Such a waste of time, gas and effort. Very very mad.
