Very disappointing and dishonest We took our 2003 Honda Civic to the Larry H Miller Service center on Saturday April 7 with a concern about the engine acting strangely when it reached We took our 2003 Honda Civic to the Larry H Miller Service center on Saturday April 7 with a concern about the engine acting strangely when it reached a certain level of RPMs and a check engine light that had gone on.We left it and received a call back shortly telling us that it had a dead battery which meant that it had wiped the check engine light. The car had not had any problem starting prior to this but the battery was under warranty so we had them replace it. Then they informed us that we needed a new alternator which was probably what had been causing the engine problems but they couldn’t tell for sure because the dead battery had wiped the check engine light. The price quoted for the alternator seemed very high so we told them we would get back to them and got prices from a couple of other places that were a couple of hundred dollars cheaper. In the meantime they called us back and offered to drop the price by a hundred dollars and give us “employee pricing” or sell us an aftermarket alternator with a shorter warranty that was less expensive. They still couldn’t guarantee that this was really the problem of course. We opted for the aftermarket part which they said they would have to order so it wouldn’t be available to be installed until Monday. They would then drive the car and wait for the check engine light to come on so they could see what the problem really was. Monday morning we received a call that informed us that the check engine light registered a problem with the v-tech system. Apparently the oil was dangerously low and very dirty. We had the oil changed a month before this. They said it looked like it hadn’t been changed for a year. They didn’t show us the oil sample. I’m not a mechanic but it seems like checking the oil level is a fairly easy thing to do. They were pretty quick to check other things, maybe they could’ve checked that at the beginning of the visit? They then informed us that the car had broken front ball joints and compliance bushings and needed an additional almost $900 worth of repairs to correct those issues. I told them that we were not doing that right now and the Service Advisor informed me in strong terms that without those repairs the car was not safe to drive at speeds more than 40 MPH. I again declined saying that we would probably be selling the car soon as we had put more money into it for repairs recently than I was comfortable with. He then asked me how much I thought we might sell it for which seems a little bit off to me. I guess he didn’t like my response because he didn’t pursue that line of questioning. We have a family friend who owns a tire/brake and suspension business. We took the car into him this morning and asked him to look at it. In his opinion and the opinion of 3 of his technicians, the suspensions issues that they warned us so strongly about do not exist. I called the customer relations specialist yesterday to express my unhappiness with my experience at the service department. He said he would speak with the Service Manager and get back to me. I have received no follow up. We have purchased two Honda Pilots from Larry H Miller Honda and are in the market for a new vehicle this spring. We have bought our cars into the service department for maintenance and repairs for years, not just our Pilots but our other vehicles as well. We had one other service visit with this same Service Advisor within the last couple of months that felt like something was off. The description of the issue and his explanation of what was wrong just felt a little funny and ended up being very expensive but we let it go because of the past relationship we’ve had with your dealership. This however was blatant and we were able to follow up with someone else to find out that he was attempting to rip us off. We will not be returning to your dealership and we will spread the word. Oil change was quick, but car wash was horrible I was told the service may take 60-90 minutes, but it was completed in 40 minutes or so. That was great. However, my car was still dirty even after a car wash. If the whole service finished so quickly, they could have wash the car again. They could have checked if the car was actually clean or not, instead of just saying "we washed your car". There is another complaint about the car wash. They should wipe of the water after car wash and they do if they park the car inside. However, they parked my car outside the service area after the service has been completed and didn't wipe off the car, so when I got to the car, I was able to see the water marks all over my car, beside the car was still dirty. The dealer is 40 miles away from my home and it's not easy to go back. I hope they perform better every time. More

I was immediately given a price quote from three different dealerships. I made an appointment with LHM and was greeted by Akrum my sales representative for a test drive. I already knew that I wanted to purchase that car but I negotiated. After I was given a price, I then went to the other dealerships to get a better price. LHM ultimately won out. Everyone was friendly and patient to my constant negotiations. I got a great price, a great vehicle for my wife and a I believe some new friends in the sales and service department at LHM. I would highly recommend LHM Honda on State street to anyone wanting a great vehicle purchasing experience. More
Trust!! I come to this dealership because I trust them to make sure my cars are always in top condition and safe. I needed to get my sticker for my car and e I come to this dealership because I trust them to make sure my cars are always in top condition and safe. I needed to get my sticker for my car and expressed concern that it is not required to inspect cars. I told them I felt it was more important to have it inspected than an emissions test. They did a free inspection for me and suggested a few things that I might consider taking care of sometime. I felt safe leaving the dealership. It is all about trust! More
Was able to get me a deal when I thought it was impossible. My salesman was pleasant, not pushy, understood my standing as far as purchasing a vehicle because I had a large negative equity in my trade in.
