My Review Of Lenz Truck Center:
My frustration started when we agreed on a trade in value and the cost of the new(used) car. Then I was told the last step was to have mechanics check the car over and I would be out of there in 15 minutes. They come back with saying the car needs repairs costing $2000 and that they were going to have to give me $2000 less on my trade in. My question is why wasn't this done right when I came in? It would make sense to me to give the car to the guys to look over before agreeing on trade in value and before agreeing on total price. That way you have all of the information you need to determine prices. That type of practice is called getting someone pregnant and is what gives car dealers a bad name. We agree on a price of a car and trade in and I start moving things into the new car and in the mindset of life with this car and then come out with the bad news.
Secondly, the price of the car I bought was $34,497. I incorrectly assumed that the $15,473,17 final price was just sales tax and plate transfer. After I came home and looked at the receipt, I saw that there was a $295 service fee, title fee which states that a replacement is $20, but I was charged $95, $25 licence fee and another $25 processing fee. I was never told about these fees.
Lastly, before I drove two hours to get there, I called and said that I couldn't locate the title and they said not to worry, we could still do everything without it. Once I got into Nik's office, that was not the case. I had to write Nik a check for $20,500 and he told me it would be cashed if I didn't get him the title within a certain amount of days. I did find the title and he sent my check back, but still very uncomfortable with that.
Overall, I did not have a good experience and I won't be back.
