Accepted for inspection and repair service without an appointment. Provided a loaner NX for the weekend. Inspection report and recommendations received promptly on Monday morning. I have a 2009 RX 350. After the Maintenance Required indicator light came on, the scheduler gave me an appointment for 1 pm the next day to have the problem diagnosed. Pr After the Maintenance Required indicator light came on, the scheduler gave me an appointment for 1 pm the next day to have the problem diagnosed. Prior to diagnosis, the advisor recommended services be done that would trigger the light to come on. He said if those services were performed the indicator Light would go off. He said it would take 2 hours and I agreed to wait. 10 minutes before the 2 hours were up, I got a text message saying that due to “a bit of a rush”, an extra 30-45 minutes would be required to complete the work. When I left, the indicator light was still on. I called back to ask if I would be able to turn this off myself so I didn’t need to do a return visit. I played telephone tag with two advisors and finally today I talked to the technology staff who were able to tell me how to turn it off. I think the extra time delay with the visit, the indicator light not being turned off even though it said to do so on the invoice instructions, and the almost $400 bill did not make me very happy. I believe that the high cost services at Lexus and extended service time may require me to find another less expensive service that can do the routine work in the future. I’ve been a long time customer of this dealership and I must say, it’s not making me very happy these days. More
