Contacted this dealer about a used SUV and made an appointment to come review and test drive vehicle. 10 Minutes prior to arrival I received a text that they could not start the car, but they would be appointment to come review and test drive vehicle. 10 Minutes prior to arrival I received a text that they could not start the car, but they would be more than happy to show me the vehicle. Upon inspection I showed considerable interest in the car, but wanted to test drive before purchasing. The next day, salesperson text me that it was a key registration issue and the car was still in shop but everything looked good. After numerous texts to salesperson and manager with little to no replies, I was informed about 5 days later that the car had been sold. Very disjointed communication amongst staff members, not impressed at all and will not deal with this dealership in the future. More

I wish I could say our experience was great here at Mountain States Toyota, but it was not. My wife and I went in to look at a 4Runner for her as we decided to trade in her RAV4. We were approached by Mountain States Toyota, but it was not. My wife and I went in to look at a 4Runner for her as we decided to trade in her RAV4. We were approached by a sales girl named Adriyana. She did really well for us. We have no problems with her and in fact, we liked her so much she’s the reason we decided to buy there and not somewhere else. She gave us all the information we needed and also pulled numbers for my wife to look at, including her payoff on the RAV4. We were told the vehicle would be in at the beginning of June. We took a few days to think about it and then finally decided that was the vehicle we wanted. At that time I called in to put down the $500 deposit to hold the vehicle. They sent me an authorization form to run the card and hold that money, so I signed it and gave them my credit card information. After that we were told the vehicle wouldn’t be arriving until the end of June. That put my wife in a bind since her last payment on the lease was due before then. So she started struggling trying to figure out what she was going to do with the car or be without a car until the 4runner came in. A week later we were then told the vehicle would be in at the end of May. It seems like communication doesn’t happen very well over there. We came in on the last day of May to sign the paperwork and take the vehicle. We were then shown figures that the payoff had gone up, even though my wife had made a recent payment which means it should’ve gone down. They ended up taking that money off the car to even it out but it still left a little bit of a bad taste because the payment shouldn’t have gone up (still no clue what happened with that). My wife called Toyota Financial Services and they confirmed that they have no idea where that number came from originally. Chris was also helping my wife. She has known him for a long time as they have worked together in the past. He helped deliver the car to us and was on the deal and was also very helpful. We went in to sign paperwork on the vehicle and the finance manager Nick was very helpful and nice. My wife then asked about the $500 and if it went towards the car which it should’ve and they said it had never been collected. Why did I sign an authorization form and give our credit card information if the card was never ran? The next day they called multiple times to collect the $500. My wife called and spoke to the GSM Sean Cramer who apologized but then turned around and told her he had no idea why she was upset about any of this and her points weren’t valid. He talked down to her which really upset her because a customer should never be treated that way. She said he did apologize but with an attitude and kept laughing saying “None of this even matters and makes no sense. We can keep arguing about this for 45 minutes if you’d like but I’ve listened to you for 3 minutes and I still don’t think any of this matters.” He also didn’t seem to care about his employees. She talked about the importance of the survey and he said “Go ahead and roast Chris, I don’t care” while laughing. We would never do this to any salesman but he cared very little what would be written about our experience with him. They also pulled the salesman’s bonus from him as well since our deal wasn’t “fully complete”. Very disappointing they would punish the salesman. This was all based on principle that the whole transaction we’ve been pulled one way or another and it seems like things just never fully added up and when she voiced her opinions, she was talked down to and laughed at. Mind you, we have both been in the car business for a really long time. My wife was a Customer Relations Manager for years and would never treat someone this way. We will never be coming back to Mountain States Toyota unfortunately. More

We have purchased 3 vehicle from Mountain States, 2 brand new 4runners and a 24 thousand mile Tacoma over the past 4 years. Doan Vu has been our go to salesman for all three rigs! Mountain States does a good job but really it's their folks on the ground like Doan and all the behind the scene players that make it a truly as stressless as it can be, Like Mike Dillon in finance, knew his stuff and we had great conversation too! When our friends and family need another Toyota, it will be Doan at Mountain States getting the call. What a great guy and experience! He was very responsive to all our needs from beginning to end! Rude disrespectful false promises did not wanna work with me once they found out I was financing elsewhere. One of the worst experiences for a first time car buyer to have to go through. Reached out to corporate to address the situation follow day location manager reached out to speak of the situation we talked and from my understanding worked things out. I explained how I just wanted to buy the vehicle I have the money I had the approval all that was in my way was the fight back they gave me. Who would have thought if you had a sale why make it so difficult I wasn't going anywhere else I wanted that truck. Our discussion wasn't to take thousands off or this or that we agreed upon 500 to just be written out in a check and sent out. May 8th 2023 still no check received my thought is because the manager was so eager to push me out he made a false agreement just to get me out of there my mistake was to take his word (and handshake) and not get something written. Still love my truck, but would never recommend Mountain States Toyota to anyone. More
