Great Service I stopped late one evening thinking the service department would be closed and hoping to make an appointment for the next day. Could have been Better I have had my Tacoma service at Ourisman's a few times and have been pleased with their attention to details. This time not so much....My SA, was co I have had my Tacoma service at Ourisman's a few times and have been pleased with their attention to details. This time not so much....My SA, was courteous and professional. My Tacoma was in for a frame replacement. I dropped the vehicle off on a Monday & picked it up on a Monday. When I picked it up, I noticed grease stains on the driver's side door arm rest, kick plate, and seat. Not small incidental conduct scuffs. I pointed this out to a service manage whom dismissed it at first with a comment. "they only get in the vehicle to pull it in/out of the service bay once. Upon showing him, he grabbed some cleaner and a rag. I also noticed the steering wheel was off center and cocked to the left. The brake fluid reservoir was also filled to the cap, Driving home, I could feel some vibrations in the steering wheel. Almost home I heard a release of what I thought was air or fluid. Upon parking in my driveway and popping the hood, discovered power steering fluid released. I noticed that he reservoir cap had not been twisted to the locked position. While the vehicle was in for the frame replacement, I had them check the a/c system because it didn't seem to be cooling as well as it had been. The compressor was also cycling on/off more frequently. I had had another garage perform an a/c service. Ourisman said the a/c clutch and compressor needed to be replaced to the tune of $2000. I balked and said leave it alone The following week I returned to Ourisman to have the vibration and cocked wheel addressed. My SA informed me that the tie rods and ball joints were slightly loose. That was remedied. As was the overfilling of the brake fluid. Following the front end corrections at Ourisman's, I took the truck to another shop for the a/c work. They performed a pressure test and leak test. The found no leaks. They said the compressor and a/c clutch are fine. The system was simply over charged by the first garage that performed the a/c service. So much for preventative maintenance.. Lesson learned. If it ain't broke don't fix it. .$100 later, the a/c is functioning fine. Will I go back to Ourisman Toyota? Probably. More
