I have used Right Honda for both new sales and service. Both were a bad experience. I will start with sales. I think we got a good deal on our car and I really love it, but I found their sales people to be very aggressive and high pressure. That I expect, but I want my new car to be perfect and our was not. When we test drove it the check tire light was on. We were assured that it would be checked and fine when we drove it out, but a couple weeks later it came back on. It turns out the rear tire had a slow leak that was not repairable or under warranty. So we had to replace the tire on our brand new car. THEN I used their service department- TOTAL NIGHTMARE! We have a second Honda that is about 5 years old. I needed to take it in for an oil change and a repair. I called and made an appointment and got a quote for both price and the time the repair should take. When I took it in the next day at the appointed time I was told they had no record of my appointment and it would cost over $100 more than the quoted price and take twice as long! I made the appointment early in the morning thinking it would take 2 hours and I could get some shopping done in nearby stores and my husband could sleep in. Now I had 4 hours to kill so I called him and woke him up to take me home. Two hours later they call and the car is ready! uuuugghhh! I woke him up for nothing (the only day we get to sleep in!). When I picked up the car I complained about everything and was told I shouldn't take it in on a Saturday, that they are busy and understaffed on Saturdays. Shouldn't that be taken care of? Then $360 later I get home and look at the paperwork and find a note that the air filter should be changed. Didn't I just pay them to do that? Honestly. I will never set foot in Right Honda again. I love my cars and will always buy Honda, but I'll go elsewhere next time. More
Chris did a great job in sales. He listened to what I wanted and worked well with me. when I went to finance all seemed to go well. However, a week later they called and wanted me to come back. The finan wanted and worked well with me. when I went to finance all seemed to go well. However, a week later they called and wanted me to come back. The financing was not going to be approved unless I put down some cash. I told them no, and we reached an agreement after I said I'd take back my other car. This is where things went down hill. I was told that they would get new plates and I would get a refund for my old plates. I was also told the check would be sent to pay off my used car in 2-3 days. I know they have a month but this is what they said. Repeated phone calls to the dealership finance department were not returned. Finally, 2 weeks later, my car salesman found the finance manager and made him talk to me. He kept repeating, you got lower payments didn't you? And, we have 30 days. But would not listen or address the fact that phone calls and messages to him and Corey were not returned. In addition, I received stickers for my old plates - they did not get new plates and they took the refund on the plates. The finance manager insisted that is what they charged me for. When I got home I compared the registration to the charge and found out that as I suspected he was wrong. They simply took another 89 dollars from me. I am going back to the dealership with the paperwork tomorrow to deal with this issue. The communication issues with this company make me suspect that they are using dealer trick to get more money from their customers. He indicated that 'calling back to refinance' was normal. It is not. This is my 7th car and first bad experience. More

Brought my 20 yr old daughter in to trade in her CRV for a lower pmt. They kept showing us cars for a higher payment and asking if we "loved" the color etc. Because we were women? I think they thought we wo a lower pmt. They kept showing us cars for a higher payment and asking if we "loved" the color etc. Because we were women? I think they thought we would fall in love with a car color and spend MORE when we specifically told them we were looking for a lower pmt. As the previous review noted the Manager here is the worst---when we didn't go for the higher pmt on the pretty blue car he got my daughter on the phone and was SCREAMING AT HER so loudly I could hear him several feet away at which point I took the phone from her and hung up on him and she began to cry. Keep in mind this would have been her third car purchase; even though she's twenty - she's been working for four years and purchased three cars. THESE GUYS ARE THE WORSE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN DON'T SHOP HERE! More
The deal I got from them was great and all was done in less than 2 hours. I told him what I wanted, and what deal I was looking for, and he came very close. My experience with right honda was very Unlike less than 2 hours. I told him what I wanted, and what deal I was looking for, and he came very close. I researched Honda cars on line looking for pricing and availability for a Honda CR-V. Several responses came in from two dealers in my home town and from Right Honda in Scottsdale AZ about 150 miles from availability for a Honda CR-V. Several responses came in from two dealers in my home town and from Right Honda in Scottsdale AZ about 150 miles from my home. Right Honda Sales department called me and convinced me I should travel 150 miles to their dealership for better pricing and trade in value for my car. So off I went. When I got there and test drove the CR-V I realized this car was not for me. I did see another care I like, the Honda Accord Crosstour and felt it work better for my needs. After crunching numbers I realized it was to expensive and I said, " I guess I can't buy a car today as I cannot afford this car". The dealer sales representatives started to talk about a leasing. I was very reluctant and was very much against leasing as I did not understand the process at all. The CR-V I was looking at I was quoted about $350 per month. Sales said it would cost about $600.00 a month for the Crosstour. The sales representatives said I could lease the Crosstour for $350.00 a month and I could afford the car. Still very uncomfortable with the lease I did agree based on what I thought was going to be a fair deal for my trade in and sales price ("internet pricing") of the car. Then I went to the Finance office to close the deal. The $350.00 price was gone, now it was $368.00 and I said no not what I was quoted. The Finance manager told me he could reduce the payment if I would agree to only using 12,000 mile per year instead of 17,000 miles because "never buy extra miles if you plan on trading in the car at the end of the lease". He tore up the contract, went to the sales office and came back with a new one. Now being real confused about what was going on the new contract was $375.08 per month. I'm tired, frustrated and need to get back to Tucson. Looking over the figures and asking questions about all the fees, I questioned the numbers because they just didn't seem to add up. I asked how much the car was and he sidestepped the answer with mumbo jumbo that made no sense to me knowing of course I was not going to understand. Using those terms I was not familiar with he convinced me that everything was in proper order and signed I the contract. All seemed good until I got my first monthly statement. First thing I noticed was the pay off was $32595.11. I was in shock because the car list price was $35595.00. with $8000.00 down payment equity I had in my trade in, doing simple math the balance should have been about $27595. Assuming they were going to give me the same like kind "deal" for buy out of my local market the car should have sold for about $32900.00 as this is what my local dealer is quoting. using the $32900 figure my balance should or could have been about $24900. I took out the lease agreement and started to read more carefully and looking up lease terms. First major problem I discovered was "Gross capitalized Cost" or sale price of car. Sale price was $38,028.43 or $2478.11 up and above MSRP (the sticker price) and $5100 more than what the customary and usual selling price. Now I am very upset and contacted the dealer and now all the leis started. The first lie was he said we lost $2000.00 on my car as he sent it to the auction. As of today 07/05/2010, the date traded in was 06/13/2010 and my trade in is still available for sale on their lot as I called to inquire about it. The sale person said it was a nice car traded in by a snow bird. The next lie was when I asked why my payoff was so high after giving a large down payment he says to me the pay off would include taxes. It is true that taxes would have to be paid but still does not account for massive over charge of the purchased price. Summary of all this is I felt I very much taken advantage of and mislead about prices, fees and conditions of lease. The $8000.00 down I paid all went into the dealers pocket. I lost all my equity. I can appreciated and understand dealers need to make a profit to stay in business and continue to provided goods and services to the community, but to make a huge unreasonable profit is unethical. Yes, I should have know better and demanded a more clear explanation but I "trusted" them to provide a like kind deal or "internet pricing" comparable to the car I originally wanted to buy. Update 07/06/2010 I called Honda Financial Services today and asked them about the lease and they confirmed that the lease was contracted for the sales amount (gross capitalized cost) of $38028.43. They also confirmed that the MSRP was in fact $35550.00. I asked why was there an additional $2500.00 added to the MSRP. Their response was it did not include extras like, accessories or extended warranty which there were NONE. Right Honda not only did not disclose to me what I was paying for the car, when I asked they sidestepped the answer with a bold face lie. Beware of Right Honda of Scottsdale. They are Liars and will take advantage of you. More
