I asked for an out-the-door figure and explained I’m in Gallatin, TN and would either pay for shipping or drive to pick it up. Evening Feb 6: I received the proposal, which included a $2,000 “Protection Plan.” I immediately asked for it to be removed. Michael said he would work with management to remove it on Feb 7 - next morning. Feb 7: I was told the Protection Plan could not be removed because the “deal wouldn’t make sense.” Both Michael and Anthony stated I could decline the plan, but the dealership could decline the sale if it didn’t make sense. Evening Feb 7: They sold the car a few hours after me pleading for them to remove the protection plan. They posted the sale on social media. My concern is simple: if the vehicle is advertised and quoted at $29,495, it shouldn’t be assumed every buyer will accept a $2,000 add-on—especially since I clearly stated “no add-ons” in my initial communication (where I provided my name/address for the order). I have EVERYTHING documented. I’m just trying to purchase a reliable, low-mile vehicle as my daughter graduates in May and will be in college this fall, and I’ll be traveling often to visit her. I reached out and finally got a hold of the sales manager MJ. He saved the day and corrected the issues. Very much appreciate his attention, reaching out and taking steps to make things right. What initially felt like a sour transaction, now feels very good. We are happy with the cars also. Thank you MJ! More
