DO NOT do business with Universal Hyundai Genesis. This dealership is corrupt, predatory, and only cares about squeezing as much money out of customers as possible. I had major engine work done here, and just 7 months later, the same engine they installed completely failed. They refused to take any responsibility for their shoddy, rushed repair. When I took the issue to Hyundai Corporate, they also refused to help—claiming they could only “get answers” from this same dishonest dealership. The truth is, neither this location nor corporate cares about customers or standing behind their work. Because of their negligence, I was forced to buy another vehicle. And to make matters worse, the salesman here took advantage of my urgent situation—pressuring me into a deal where I’m paying nearly $60,000 for a car worth around $25,000. This was pure exploitation at a vulnerable time. Universal Hyundai Genesis does not operate in good faith. They cut corners on repairs, sell cars at outrageous markups, and take advantage of people who need help. If you value your time, money, and safety, stay as far away from this dealership as possible. I no longer trust your Service Department, and as a result, my last visit on July 23 will be my final one. I received an estimate from your Service Department to replace four tires (3 tires at $237,85 result, my last visit on July 23 will be my final one. I received an estimate from your Service Department to replace four tires (3 tires at $237,85 each and one for $1.00) for a total of $714.55 installed. Additionally, I was quoted $119.95 for a "One Time Four Wheel Alignment," but I was charged $129.95, along with $55.58 in taxes. For a Total of $916.53 The service department originally provided me with an estimate of $916.53, including taxes. However, when I received the final bill, I ended up paying $1,230.52, which is a difference of $313.99. Upon reviewing my invoice at home, I noticed that the Hyundai Service Technician had added an unauthorized charge for an "Induction Service," amounting to $135.66. To my surprise, the Service Technician also included an extra surcharge of $35.84 for using my credit card. I have been a loyal customer at Universal Hyundai for the past 10 years, and this is the first time I have encountered a credit card surcharge. It is surprising that a business as large as Universal Hyundai is now charging 3% for credit card payments. This feels unwelcome and is not something I would expect from a reputable establishment; even fast food chains like Burger King do not impose surcharges for credit card use. More
