Amazing First Car Purchase It was always my understanding prior to yesterday that purchasing, or financing, a car was entirely out of the question working my part time hours and It was always my understanding prior to yesterday that purchasing, or financing, a car was entirely out of the question working my part time hours and still have money to take care of the necessities at home. So, I was actually going to simply scrounge up little pieces here and there, buy a beach cruiser bike and motorize it. Well, despite it being Oklahoma, we still have what can be loosely called Winter, as such my parents were against getting it, safety and all. As an offhanded discussion on the way to OKC for an appointment, I went to a site my dad recommended me to, Vernon Auto Group. Automatically, I clicked "Used Sales" and the price range "0-10,000", jokingly thinking to myself "They did say '0' to 10,000, maybe they have one in the hundreds." To explain, like I said earlier hours and income did not presently bode well for a car purchase. And not that this is not a bad thing, many people are looking for them, but a lot of the inventory I saw at first were big vehicles, I have a wariness of big vehicles because of a Lazy Eye and lack of Depth perception, i.e. my turning and distance judging is horrible. I click on a link saying "Coupe" and fell in love with the tiny thing, all the information I could come up with to ask about all there, it was perfect! Until I saw the price, and I laughed out loud. No, the price was not outrageous, it was an amazingly good deal, I just didn't know it yet. I was looking at $3,725 for a good tiny car on a bi-weekly Net income of at best $300, I was thinking of it in terms of buying it in entirety, as I did not think of doing it in payments, or loans and financing- not thinking I even qualified for that. Well, Mr. Nick was the one we talked with, my dad did most of the working it out with them as I had never done this before, and he was very helpful and patient, he got our information and explained about the coupe and any questions we had, the process went much smoother than the experiences I watched my siblings go through with another dealer here in Oklahoma, I can't remember the name. I honestly was expecting some swindling or upselling or between the lines fees, but he was very straight forward and did not hold anything back from us. That was all fine and dandy to me at the time, but I still did not see $300 equaling up to $3,725. Well, it took some calls, both Mr. Nick and the loan officers at my credit union being patient, thorough and very informative, but we were able to come up with a way to finance the coupe. Mr. Nick even let us settle without a deposit, as I had -still learning- taken all of my money out of my account when I saw my card was expiring- he was willing to take the fact we had an approved loan and placed it as sold, as he explained they had plenty of people saying they would come get it and never came. Now, the actual day was wonderfully easy going. The wait was minimal, and we were able to dissect the car and even drive it around without trading keys, they filled the tank and even put an additive, they explained it two us and how to find more to cover a warranty. Mr. Nick helped us find out how to fold the seats in the back, and any other questions we had. They made the paperwork an easy process and took alternatives, like letting my dad email and print of a Insurance update instead of needing a card. He talked with us, showed us what he did there, joked with us, treated us as people and not customers which made the process much more comfortable. Mr. Chris was our finance manager and he explained and made the paperwork very easy for us, and even showed me an option that I can and will take to bolster the warranty once I get my other finances planned out. Overall this was an amazing first time experience and I felt even better that I am paying for it, and feel well informed, comfortable with them. If I am still in Oklahoma when Coby, my coupe, retires, even if I'm not I think I still will, I will definitely go through them again. More

Easiest car purchase experience by far. I purchased a vehicle out of state from Vernon Auto Group. Tyler got me through the whole experience via phone and e-mail while I was traveling. I was then able to swing by and pick it up on the way back home. My local dealer wouldn't even give me the time of day since the car wasn't on their lot. The only minor issue was with the detailing team there but I chalk that up to the timing around my pickup. Overall my experience with Tyler at Vernon was how a car buying experience should be. I thought the price was fair and it was an easy to complete deal. I'd definitely recommend the dealership to friends and family and will keep an eye on their inventory in case I decide I am in the mood to trade again. More
