I had my car under warranty for a windshield and rim replacement. It was around 1 1/2 months after getting pictures sent in for replacement. (windshield was on back order no big deal) When I came in for the picture it was around 40 minutes before they closed on a Friday night and the worker attempted to tell me my windshield was to dirty for a picture to be taken and I’d have to comeback another day. After repeatedly suggesting we figure out something to get a picture taken he eventually took one. I then heard back 1 1/2 months later and scheduled an appointment for my car, I asked them at this time if they would have a loaner vehicle. The person on the phone stated they might it would just depend on inventory. I took my car in at 8am on Monday morning and the same guy who I’ve dealt with (Friday afternoon picture guy) immediately tells me they have no loaner for me when I asked before even checking. (They were going to have my car for two days) Fast forward and I get a call on Tuesday afternoon that it’s going to be an extra day. This is no big deal to me that it would be longer I understand stuff comes up, my issue is not being granted a loaner car for 3 days, everyone knows it’s tough to have to rely on others without having a car. After picking the car up on Wednesday I then received a call on Thursday they accidentally gave me the wrong paperwork and I needed to bring it in to swap. (again not a big deal for me I understand mistakes happen) My issue is that it seemed like I was pulling finger nails to get a replacement under the extended warranty that I bought through them. (I paid the car off brand new within a year through this dealership) Overall when dealing with the Iowa city dealership I received much better customer service and was granted a loaner vehicle for something that took a day. It might seem like a little thing but granting a loaner goes a long way. I don’t usually leave reviews but I was very disappointed with the service I received. I don’t like showing up to a dealership and being treated as if i’m a nuisance for being there. (the person who called me and told me I had to bring the papers back in was a different gentlemen who seemed to have great customer service, most of my issue and treatment was from one person in particular)
