My vehicle was repaired through insurance after a - Basanova
My vehicle was repaired through insurance after a collision, but the collision representative, Neil, completely disregarded most of the repairs I had specifically requested and used nearly $23,000 in insurance funds without my approval — the original estimate was around $15,000.
The repair took two months longer than initially promised, and the car was returned to me with the coolant completely drained. I had to bring it back to the dealer due to a coolant issue, but I never received an apology.
I originally wanted the car to be restored using the same parts I had before, but the dealership used the insurance funds to install different parts instead. As a result, the insurance company now refuses to replace them again.
Even now, there are visible panel gaps and alignment issues in the repaired areas, but Neil insists it’s my problem and says I’ll have to pay again if I want them fixed. He smiles in person, but barely responds to emails or phone calls.
I’ve driven this dealership’s vehicles for many years and have recommended it to many others — but I no longer feel comfortable doing so. Very disappointing experience.
