I would strongly advise taking your vehicle elsewhere for service. I’ve had two recent experiences with this dealership’s service department, and both were highly disappointing. Not only was their ability to diagnose and complete repairs inefficient, but I also found their pricing practices to be questionable and potentially misleading.
I brought in my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee on two separate occasions. The first visit was due to a malfunctioning windshield wiper system. It took the service department six weeks to identify and resolve the issue. Throughout that time, I received no proactive communication. I consistently had to reach out to obtain updates on the status of my vehicle. Eventually, the service manager did contact me once the problem was diagnosed, apologized for the delay, and provided some cost relief, which I appreciated. Based on that interaction, I decided to return for a separate issue related to the air conditioning system.
During the second visit, the service department performed a diagnostic and informed me that the evaporator needed to be replaced. The quote provided was $1,800 for the repair, involving a $132 part. With refrigerant and additional charges, the total cost came to $2,400. This estimate seemed excessive, especially for a relatively new vehicle. I sought a second opinion at a different service center, where they ran their own diagnostic. They found the evaporator to be in proper working condition and determined that the system simply needed a recharge. The total cost for this repair was $163, and the AC has been functioning perfectly since.
Based on these experiences, I believe this dealership attempted to overcharge me for unnecessary work. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend others exercise caution when considering their services.
