He was very informative and not your average car salesman that follows you around and hassles you. He was professional yet down to earth and very willing to work with us. He listened to what we wanted. We were very surprised that he had been there under a year as we both thought that he was a senior salesman. We also want to mention how wonderful the finance person, Karen, was. She was very helpful, informative and non judgemental. Thanks to all of Wilde East Honda but especially to Dan and Karen. I will definitely recommend you. Troy and Lisa More

Not accurate, one member not polite We drove to Madison from 2 hours away so before we decided to make the trip I asked the salesman if he could look over the vehicle to tell me if there We drove to Madison from 2 hours away so before we decided to make the trip I asked the salesman if he could look over the vehicle to tell me if there were any chips, scratches or dings. His words were extremely clean, immaculate, no damage interior or exterior. I don't think he could have looked at the vehicle because the passenger side had noticeable scratches and dings as well as the hood had chips from I'm assuming rocks. I understand on a 4 year old vehicle some of this is expected however don't tell me it is very, very clean. So we drove it and looked it over, and while we were out they were supposed to look at our vehicle to give us a trade in value. While being out for 30 min with the test drive, we got back and they had not looked at ours or knew where it was even. Now they could say they were busy on Saturday but when they did look it over, it took 2 minutes, no running of the vehicle or any mechanic looking it over and 1 minute looking it up on KBB. So than we talked numbers and they told us what they would give us for our vehicle and that was a fair price, but they tried to brag it up like any salesman would do I guess, but it was an 11 year old van. We knew the value. Than they started talking about financing with them even though we had financing in place already. I told them I was not interested in financing but they told us we would need to listen to the financing options anyway. Their financing options at first were 6.9% compared to what I had was 1.9% through my local credit union. So obviously I'm assuming they get some kick back from these financiers. We told them what we needed to be at for price and they implied that we were low balling them. I don't think asking $1500 off of the price listed is a low ball offer but maybe people actually pay what the dealerships ask. Than our salesman brought our offer to his sales manager. So at this point we made a verbal offer. Than he came back after a couple minutes and said they wanted to know how serious we were and that we needed to make a written offer. So the way it was explained was if we would agree today we would get our vehicle for the total of $2900 off the vehicle, $1400 for trade in and $1500 off the vehicle price. We said yes, that is our number we need. So we wrote that down, signed it and were told that the dealership already agreed to this. Salesman walked away to bring offer back to his sales manager and we were under impression that we had just purchased a vehicle. He came back after 5 minutes and had a number that was $1100 apart from what we just signed. We were very confused as to what just happened, and our salesman acted just as confused even though he was the one with the information. So he brought the sales manager over, and he was very rude, acting as though we were wasting his time, we explained exactly what happened and he said too bad that's not what we do here. We told him the salesman told us we had the vehicle for what was written down on paper, and he said basically he was wrong and that's not how things work here. My wife and I were obviously upset and felt like this was a bait and switch that had just happened. They attempted to ask what we needed to get the deal done and I stated give us the price that you already agreed to and we will have a deal. He countered and came up $200. So now we are still $900 apart from the price we thought they agreed to. And ultimately we left. More

Very Pleased! My afternoon began with an appointment at a different dealership to view a few minivans that they were supposed to have available. When I arrived, no My afternoon began with an appointment at a different dealership to view a few minivans that they were supposed to have available. When I arrived, none of the vehicles were there and needless to say I was disappointed and frustrated. I went to seven different dealerships that afternoon and was impressed with three of them. I entered Wilde East Towne Honda with the same purpose and expectation. "I'm looking for a great minivan for an out-the-door price that fits my budget, under $7500 after trade." I sat down with Daniel and he showed me the options that they had. I told him that I didn't want to waste his or my time test driving something that was outside my budget and he was very understanding. Looking at vehicles it quickly was evident that nothing was really in my budget, but without being pushy Daniel brought up the carfax and brought over the manager to talk numbers and the trade-in. The manager efficiently crunched some numbers and got closer to my budget so I agreed to a test drive. Daniel and Brent were very easy and pleasant to work with. After my test drive I knew the van was the one for me, but I had to stay within my budget, so I was preparing to walk away that day with the intention of saving more money before returning. They then offered me more for my trade-in (than I know it's worth) to make it possible for me to stay within my budget and take home the van of my dreams (as if any dad really dreams about driving a minivan). Overall a good experience, but a couple of suggestions We bought a pre-owned vehicle from Mike Wills. We found him to be personable and knowledgeable and would deal with him again. The dealership is a beau We bought a pre-owned vehicle from Mike Wills. We found him to be personable and knowledgeable and would deal with him again. The dealership is a beautiful building, and people were very helpful. We had a couple suggestions that could've made this an excellent rating instead of a good rating. 1. We made an offer on the car and Mike took it to the used car manager. The used car manager countered our offer and we countered again. Then, instead of the used car manager coming out to talk to us, instead, the assistant used car manager (Brent) came to talk to us. I would've preferred the actual manager to come out instead of sending this other assistant manager - I mean, he really wasn't involved in the sales negotiating process. It felt a little like the stereotypical car dealership move, which was a bit of a turnoff. We did settle on the offer. 2. The other disappointment was the inordinate amount of time we sat in the dealership waiting for the finance paperwork to be done. We sat there for at least an hour and when we finally met with the finance person (Brent), he told us he only got the paperwork about 15 minutes ago. So, I don't know where the ball got dropped, but we shouldn't have waited that long. And, then when we showed us what finance rate they could give us, it was higher than we could've gotten from our credit union without any wait. When I showed Brent the interest rates online on our credit union's website, he went to check again, and almost immediately came back, and presto, the rate was lowered immediately. We have outstanding credit (high 800s), so again, we should've been given the best rate right off the bat. When you have to do this back-and-forth haggling on stuff like interest rates for folks with excellent credit, it just doesn't sit quite right. Those are some of our suggestions. Again, our salesperson Mike Wills was excellent; I would've given him five stars, but had to give an overall rating of good because of the things I mentioned above. More
