Questionable Practices concerning Engine replacements I bought a used 2016 Kia Sorrento in November 2018 I then drove it until April 2019 and the engine malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. I had I bought a used 2016 Kia Sorrento in November 2018 I then drove it until April 2019 and the engine malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. I had the car for less than six months and put less than 10,000 miles on the car. Kia replace it, the engine was on back order, it will took at least two months. When we picked the vehicle up after the engine had been replaced we were told by Kia that we needed to replace the front brakes and rotors due to rust build up, there reason, after I explained that we have only had the vehicle for six months and had less than 10,000 miles and that the average life for brake pads and rotors was at least 15000 miles they told me this: when a vehicle sits for over 60 days rust builds up on the brake pads and rotors which caused pitting. Mind you that this was the mechanic/ service technician attendant giving me this information concerning the brakes and rotors. The dealership told me that they could do nothing for me that this was not their issue that had to be taken up with Kia corporate. I was instructed to contact the KIA customer service, which I did and that was two weeks ago and I’ve been getting the runaround ever scene. Kia does not take care of their customers too well when issues arise that are Foley not the responsibility of the owner. Not sure if this is a corporate issue or regional issue. I will say that the service staff was courteous and polite. More

New Engine put in This is the second time we have had our vehicle serviced. First time they left all kind of dirt and grease on the front seat. Then we had to get a new engine put in and kia had our car for three weeks and we just got it back 3 days ago and they didn't put certain parts back correctly behind the steering wheel and left all kind of dirt all over the front seats. Then we opened the trunk and all on the outsides of it were covered in dirt, mud, leaves and grim. I actually had that car cleaned and washed before it broke down on me. My husband and I are very disappointed in KIAS service department. We may never get another vehicle from Kia again cause of the service department!! More

When I picked up car muffler work was almost $1700. Service contact claims he told me as he has written down. Waiting for service manager to call. More

Keep in Tip Top Shape email from Patrick Winter Owning a 2012 Kia Sorento, I wasn't sure what, if anything, I needed to keep the vehicle it its great working performance. I found out Jim Watts was Owning a 2012 Kia Sorento, I wasn't sure what, if anything, I needed to keep the vehicle it its great working performance. I found out Jim Watts was back at Kia as the Service Manager, contacted him, and, voila, got the appointment I wanted. Surprise car wash 1stm then the blah blah blah point inspection, got an oil change and recommendation to NOT rotate tires at tis time. AND Boom!! . Out of there in an hour. I spent more time with the Sales Manager exploring the latest upgrades in the current Kia lineup (I asked for a fair market trade in value) than it took to get thru service (with a car wash !!!). I am undecided If its the right time to update as presently I am pleased, and this is my third Kia. Jamie Lucas is a very hard working lady trying to keep up with the pressure of service techs and us pesky and demanding patrons. Thank you for keeping me updated via txt msg through the process. Easy as Pie even though the Souls have a bottleneck with some recall. More
