came time for me to take possession of the vehicle that’s when things started to get rocky. After leaving finance, I asked the sales guy for the seco

After leaving finance, I asked the sales guy for the second key he went to the sales manager to get the key and the sales manager stated that they didn’t have the key but it was on its way to the dealership along with title and once they have the title they would mail me the key. A week after I had the car I called both the sales rep and internet manager neither of which answered my calls. I text the sales rep and he finally responded after 3 days and told me that the sales rep would call me that day. I had to follow-up an additional two times in order to finally get a response from the sales manager letting me know that he was following up for me. (By this time it’s been two weeks and I still didn’t have an update about the key). An additional week goes by, I still have not heard back from the sales manager. So I reached out again and didn’t hear back. Now I’m 3.5 weeks into having the car and I reach out to the sales manager asking for an update and this is the update I received was that they have not heard back. By now I’m beginning to wonder if they even have a title let alone my spare key. This is the exact message that I received from the sales manager:
“I mean I typically don’t give two keys unless it has two keys, I was just trying to help out if I could”
Now the story has changed and it somehow became an attempt to “do me a favor” because I was told that the spare key was on its way along with the title. I feel like I was lied to from the beginning and now it’s somehow my fault that the key was not received nor was mentioned anytime during the car buying process until after I purchased it.
The lack of communication and act of changing gears was very unprofessional and downright dirty. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone as they are deceptive and once they have your signature, they could care less about you. Don’t fall victim to their lip service.

Unfortunately, there has been a misunderstanding as we truly strive to ensure each client has an exceptional experience. And in doing so, we informed you that we would "try" to get a second key if possible. We did, in fact, go back through our process to see if a second key existed when we took in the vehicle. In this case, there wasn't a mistake - the key wasn't misplaced or left behind... there just wasn't a second key.

Thanks for reaching back out, but your statement is incorrect, I was informed that the second key was with the title that you all would be receiving and you will mail me the second key when you all received it. You yourself assured me and made it seem as if it was normal procedure. I was never told at any point in the car buying process that the second key was not with the vehicle. In fact if I didn’t ask I don’t even know if you would have disclosed this information to me.
This dealership is in very nice building / showroom,
nicer stuff. I don’t had no trouble negotiating with dealership , they give me a fair price. Just be fair and honest they treat me fairly too.
