My Review of Bud Brown Volkswagen:
Wow....what can I say? I have waited 30 years for my new VW Beetle...my first. I chose Bud Brown over our local dealer based on the first call I made there. I spoke with Steve Everhart, who was more than helpful. Thank you Steve!! Within a few hours I received my first call from Jim McNeal. Jim immediately wanted me to come in and visit with him, get to know him and the Bud Brown folks. After several phone calls, I made my first trip over to Kansas (from Missouri). The minute I walked in the door, I felt welcome...it was like home. I knew from that moment on I would be buying my first VW Beetle from this great group of friends.

Now about Jim...wow, what a guy. I don't think they will allow me enough room to put into words what I want to say about this kind soul. First of all, my husband liked him from the start...which is saying a lot! I knew after Cris (husband) said he liked the guy and the Bud Brown crew, it was a green light to get my car. Being around Jim felt like being with a family member. I could tell he was truly interested in finding my Beetle and above all, I think he was more excited than I was. :)

I arrived at Bud Brown Dealer at 5:20pm, March 21, 2011. Jim was waiting outside the door for us. The first thing I heard was his voice saying, "Teresa, over here". A welcome sight for sure, as we were both nervous. Our first VW and was raining as well. I was taken inside the building to find my Pearl Black VW Beetle sitting with the biggest red bow I have ever seen. You can't imagine the emotions, luckily I didn't cry...yet, that came as I drove away. Tears of pure joy.

I could write a novel about this GREAT group of friends. Another wonderful aspect of this adventure for me, was actually getting to have Mr. Bud Brown involved in finding my car. I can honestly say that I have never met the owner of a car dealer in which I have had a conversation with. Mr. Brown treated us with kindness and respect from the start. In fact, I bought my first new car from Mr. Brown back in 1988, under a different dealership. I think that says a lot about a person being in the car business that long and it coming around full circle years later. Thank you Mr. Brown for thinking of me daily and keepin Jim and myself informed of where and when my new car would be here.

A special shout out to Missy!!! Thank you so much for setting up my bluetooth phone with the car...you are a valuable gem with this group of friends as well. Happy I got to meet you!

Jesse Little, another wonderful person. Jesse had all our paperwork ready for us. All we had to do was sign all the spots...LOL. Cris and I thank you Jesse for making it painless. :)

I know there are many that I am leaving out, but just know each of you will alway have a special place in my heart. I thank you...

Chris in the shop....thank you for giving me my first drive in the VW a few months ago...Great guy!

In closing, I just wanted to let folks know that this is the place to buy your VW car. You won't find a more informative, caring and honest bunch of folks.

We bought a used pickup truck from Bud Brown, and the entire buying experience was great.

We worked with both Missy McConnell and Jim McNeal, and they were both knowledgeable about the vehicle, helpful and personable. There was no pressure: they were there to help us.

We discovered a minor issue with the vehicle after the sale and they were as concerned as we were. And they were just as helpful in helping us resolve the issue.

It’s nice to be able to say, “It is a pleasure doing business with them.”

This is the second new car I have bought from Bud Brown VW in the last year. That should tell you something about the quality of this top-notch operation. Jim and Missy were excellent salespersons, who had all the time and expertise for me and my questions. I have owned VW's for over 30 years, and experienced many VW dealers in Kansas, Missouri and Illinois. Most have been good, but Bud Brown VW is the best VW dealer I have ever experienced. The company is also locally owned, they are not part of some big mega dealer group. You can tell when you are greated by the owner, Phil Brown. Customers mean so much more to this group of fine folks. Be sure to shop with them.

I can't recommend this group highly enough. We looked at several cars and worked with several people and not once did anyone seem concerned about who was going to get the sale. They were all focused on making sure we got the car we wanted. Everyone was knowledgeable and follow up was timely and effective. I look forward to working with them on the future service of my Jetta.

There is a great sales and service team at Bud Brown. It was my best ever buying experience, and I have been driving VW's for over 30 years. I liked the family atmosphere and the fact that the owner, Phil Brown, is there to talk with you. They got my new car in less than 24 hours, and it was detailed and ready to go as promised. Shop at Bud Brown VW, ask for Missy, Jim or Mac or any of the other sales pros, and I know you will enjoy their expertise and professionalism.

Kelly, Russ and Jake do a great job in service, I have 4 VW's in the family, and they have been great help with sevice on them all. Wait until you see the great job Norman will do detailing your car after service!

We had never looked at a VW before and we leary just walking in. Missy took so much time with us and was wonderful! She discussed the various VW models and was completely honest with us.
