I've been a customer of Brent Brown Toyota for service on my 2000 Avalon for about 12 years. I have been very happy with their service. At my last service, I decided that it was time to get a new vehicle. my 2000 Avalon for about 12 years. I have been very happy with their service. At my last service, I decided that it was time to get a new vehicle. When I picked up my old car, I went out to look at some newer cars. I picked out a Certified Used 2019 Avalon with very low mileage. Salesman Rick Elliott was very helpful and when I filled out the paperwork, he was very efficient with his assistance and explanation of "Certified." I have to say that I am very disappointed in myself AND in Brent Brown Toyota. After I had signed the papers and scheduled the wiring of my down payment, I went home and looked up 2019 Toyota Avalons to see how I had done. Sadly, I found that there is a January 13, 2020 recall notice, which indicates that there may be a problem with the fuel pump that might cause the car to stall at high speeds and the engine may not restart. As of this date Toyota does not have a solution. I am not happy having a "new" car that I do not feel comfortable driving everywhere. I am aware that dealers only have a responsibility to notify buyers of recalls on new cars. I was told that the problem will be fixed at no cost to me, when the solution is found. Unfortunately, that doesn't solve my problem of having a car that I can't freely (because of my fears) drive anywhere. I would have at least liked some sympathy--even if no compensation was given for a defective "Certified" vehicle. I know the in-laws of a sales manager there and I had the "gall" to ask that he be asked how that sales manager would feel if his parents were driving my car a long distance. As he wasn't there, the salesman asked the question of the sales manager's boss--and the boss asked what that had to do with anything and said he was offended by the question. When I called Toyota's help line to ask if I should be worried about driving my car on freeways, I was told that Toyota is leaving that decision to owners. Hopefully, I will do better research before buying a car anywhere in the future. More

Never ending. The sales people we dealt with were great and helpful. The problem comes when you go sit in the offices of the Customer Relation Manager for the never ending sales pitch for the undercoat, under body rustproofing, window tint and extended warranty. Next you go sit with the finance guy for another round of extended warranties and other stuff. Finally they wore my nerves thin and provoked a NO and can I just buy the car or not. I get the feeling that they are not making enough on the sale, therefore they feel compelled to bombard you with extras based on how expensive everything is to repair and your new car is going to nickel and dime you to death once the factory warranty is out. Unfortunately this is my second experience with this dealership. The first was 18 months or so ago when I helped my mother-in-law buy a used Camry from these people. Same barrage of add-ons and extended warranty offers that seemingly wont end. I am 56 years old and have bought lots of cars from lots of places. I think for my next Toyota I will look elsewhere.
