I recently purchased a car from Garber Honda Pre-Owned. I live about 2 hours away from Rochester and usually try to negotiate prices from all the local Honda dealers (Fox Honda, Honda of Ithaca, Dick Ide Hon live about 2 hours away from Rochester and usually try to negotiate prices from all the local Honda dealers (Fox Honda, Honda of Ithaca, Dick Ide Honda, Ralph Honda, etc.), to try to find the best deal. I was so impressed with the attention to detail given by both the salesman (Roy Patterson) and the Used Car Director (Jason Sgarzi). I came to the negotiations with a specific price in mind for my trade-in and the purchase price of a 2012 Civic. Their willingness to hear what I was saying was better than any car shopping experience I've ever had. After the usual negotiation banter we ultimately settled on the exact deal I had been hoping for. As a buyer, I couldn't have asked for more than that. I'll also mention that I have my 5 year old and my 5 month old kids with me during the process. The entire staff (outside of the two I was working with) went out of their way to make sure we had toys and coloring books and refreshments for both of our kids. At the risk of sounding like a drone, I have to say that if you're looking for a Honda (which you should be, anyway), there are a lot of choices near Rochester, but Garber should be at the top of your list. I know I'll be making the 2-hour trip every time I need a new car from now on. More

As you can see their ratings are horrible lately and my story is no different. I had an appointment with a competitor and they called me and asked for a chance to get my business. I canceled my appointment to see what they would come up with. Roy said he could build the same deal and in many cases beat anything West Herr could do... So I waited and waited but never heard anything. I called no response but then Andy sent me an email wondering about my experience. I noticed he was the manager and immediately responded but again I waited and Andy never responded. I realized it wasn't a note from Andy but just some BS automated response and they don't really care about their customers at all. Save your money there are much better dealers that actually will take care of you. If this is how they handle a potential customer imagine how they handle any problem you might have down the road. More

My wife and I have dealt with Roy Patterson, sales advisor, since 2004. On 3/22/13 we purchased our third CRV from Roy. Why? Although I have never been a "fan" of car salespeople, Roy, from the fir advisor, since 2004. On 3/22/13 we purchased our third CRV from Roy. Why? Although I have never been a "fan" of car salespeople, Roy, from the first day we met, has been a professional, customer friendly and most importantly, knowledgeable sales rep. The 2013 CRV is the forth car we have bought from Roy and I am seriously thinking of trading in my 2007 Civic (which I bought through Roy) for a new 2013 Honda. Words cannot adequately explain how comfortable walking into Garber, formally Holtz Honda has been over the years. Their parts and service divisions are also outstanding. In addition to our recent purchase we met with Eric Pappert, to arrange some financing. He also is professional and customer friendly and when it comes to my wife's and my money, I have to deal with someone I trust! Eric is that plus. In closing a special thanks and recognition to Deb Ferra and all of the employees in the service department who again has provided great and friendly service to my wife and I. I would highly recommend Garber to anyone who is looking for a fair and comfortable car buying experience. Our thanks to Roy, Eric, Deb and all of the dedicated staff at Garber Honda and we will definitely be back again!!! More

We were in the market for an SUV. Since we already take our Accord to Garber for servicing we decided to go there and check out the Pilot. After doing some research on line, I sent for a quote from Garber and Roy Patterson responded quickly with a good offer. Roy was very personable. At no time did I feel rushed or pressured into the sale. Roy was very attentive and made sure to hone in on our wants and needs to ensure that both the vehicle and the "deal" were a good match for my family and I. He and Michael teamed up, and in my opinion went above and beyond, to negotiate the terms of my lease. My initial meeting was on Tuesday 3/5/13, and I drove off the lot in my brand new 2013 Pilot two days later. The service was fast, efficient and exceptional. We thank them very much for their hard work. More
