The best car buying experience I have had! I was looking to get a new Ford Ranger, having seen them in Europe and in Aruba. I went t a few dealerships as well as searching for a Ranger online. As a member of the Mustang Club of America, I have the X plan pricing. One dealership's X plan pricing was $100 higher than another dealership for the exact same option package, and yet another dealership marked up the vehicle substantially over sticker. The last dealership I went to was Herb Chambers. I did the on line appraisal of my trade and got a call within 20 minutes. I went on a Friday afternoon and met Brenda Davis. We took the truck for a ride and I liked it. She told me that if I wanted it just give her a call. I worked on Saturday and Sunday day at my per diem job at the Academy... I got out and called to see if the truck was still available.. and it was. I got good money for my trade, and on Monday afternoon I left the dealership with my new truck. I have owned eight Fords since 1986 (3 F-150s, an Explorer, 2 Mustangs (I still have one of them) and two Edge SEL AWDs. I have been to dealerships where the experience was like a wrestling matchor playing" psychological wargames". Brenda was straightforward with what my trade would be and the cost of the vehicle. There wwere no games, no pressure. I remember seeing a billboard for the Herb Chambers group of dealerships that stated "We don't sell cars... we help people buy them". It is more than a slogan. Customer Satisfaction is the Top Priority I recently purchased a used Cadillac from this dealership and unfortunately it turned out having some issues. Although the issues were not all that serious it was enough to make me feel a bit uneasy about my purchase. I expressed this to the salesman that sold me the car Paul Scannel along with the GM of this store Miguel Silva. In speaking with them it was very clear that their top priority was ensuring I was happy with my experience and purchase. I know a lot of places could care less about the customer as soon as they have made a sale and nothing could be further from the truth about Herb Chambers Ford of Westborough. Herb Chambers has a very generous return and exchange policy and even though I was technically outside of the window to be able to exchange my car they still worked with me in doing so. Once I expressed that I wanted out of my current purchase and wanted to exchange the vehicle they immediately set up a time for me to come in and discuss further. I came to the dealership on a Saturday with a car in mind already and worked directly with the GM in figuring out how this whole exchange would work. He had me out of my current loan and driving off in a different car within hours. I was very impressed with the personal attention and service I received from both Paul and Miguel through the entire process. I would strongly recommend buying a car from this dealer with the peace of mind that they truly want you walking away feeling great about your purchase even if it means losing a few dollars. I truly came away believing customer satisfaction is their top priority which is something often preached but not followed through on in this business. More
