Did not give me old timing belt as requested I recently had my Acura ZDX serviced at Acura of Pembroke Pines. The last time I had the vehicle serviced there the vehicle was never cleaned nor d I recently had my Acura ZDX serviced at Acura of Pembroke Pines. The last time I had the vehicle serviced there the vehicle was never cleaned nor detailed as promised, although they called me to say the car would be ready in about thirty minutes because they were still cleaning the vehicle. I was given a dirty vehicle. This was a few months ago. This time (the week of March 3rd, I specifically told Neville, the Service Advisor, about my previous experience at the dealership. He assured me he would take care of it. I also explained to him and brought all the paperwork which I gave to him about a Warranty Notice from Acura I received in the mail regarding "excessive oil consumption". I was told they would have to change the oil ($49.95) which I had to pay and that after 1,000 miles bring the vehicle back and they would check the oil consumption. The vehicle was brought on Monday March 4th for a timing belt replacement. I told Neville that I wanted the old timing belt to inspect the wear (the vehicle has 93,000 miles on it) I was assured that would be no problem. Two days later the vehicle was finally finished. When Neville called me I told him I would be coming by and to please put the old timing belt inside my vehicle. Wouldn't you know it? Incredibly, according to Neville, " After you called I just went to the shop and when I asked about the belt the mechanic told me that the garbage man had just come by and emptied all the garbage bins!!!" What an incredible coincidence! So, Acura of Pembroke Pines, you have absolutely no proof that you replaced the timing belt in my vehicle and I am out $1,000. You lied to me and did not comply with a customer's specific request. I guess I'll see you in Broward County Small Claims Court. And as a bonus, every person I do business with in the future is going to hear this story and I will make certain that no one I speak to from now on will neither buy nor lease nor bring in for service any vehicle to your dealership. I am also posting this story on social media and informing the local TV and News media about my experience. Shame on you! Kerry Ashline More
