Dealership staff seemed friendly enough while negotiating the car purchase, but simply lied to me about both the condition of the vehicle ("needs nothing") and about the equipment the vehicle possessed (and the car purchase, but simply lied to me about both the condition of the vehicle ("needs nothing") and about the equipment the vehicle possessed (and I, not being a mechanic, trusted them to be telling the truth). Within weeks after completing the purchase, several thousand dollars of long-neglected, necessary repairs were diagnosed (by several unrelated, AAA-approved area mechanics), and I was informed that the car did not, in fact, have the equipment stated on the "Kelly Blue Book Wholesale/Retail Breakdown". Upon informing the dealership's General Manager, Mr. Woods, of this, he basically said "prove it"; when I did (by sending him copies of the dealership's written advertisements, claiming a certain equipment package), he asked what I wanted him to do about it. I was willing to "eat" the un-diagnosed repairs as the "cost" of buying a used vehicle, but requested that they make their advertising claims, true...ie, by adding, at their cost, the $500 tow package, that they'd said the vehicle was equipped with (it had a (visible) hitch, so I had no reason @ sale to doubt them, but DIDN'T have the (not readily visible) transmission and power-steering coolers, which are an implicit part of said tow package. Mr. Woods refused. I then asked that they instead install, at their cost, but at MY expense, said package (ie, where I paid cost for the equipment, and they simply put it on), and again Mr. Woods refused. Acura of Peoria is owned (as is Showcase Honda on Camelback, etc etc) by Automotive Investment Group and Larry and Cecil Van Tuyl...after 20+ years and multiple new and used vehicle purchases here in the valley and familiarity with Van Tuyl sales and service practices, I will never, ever do business again with any Van Tuyl dealership. I went into Acura of Peopria with an expectation that it would be a bad experience. I was instantly surprised but the level of professionalism and courtesy extended to me at first but I kept waiting for th would be a bad experience. I was instantly surprised but the level of professionalism and courtesy extended to me at first but I kept waiting for the inevitable letdown... it never happened. Prior to coming to Acura of Peoria I had a negative experience with another area dealership. Specifically I was discouraged away from looking at new car options as the sales rep stated I would experience sticker shock and should look at used car options instead. What the Sales rep did not understand by my appereance was that I have A+ Credit, substantial income, long term employmentand Net Worth. At Peoria of Acura I recieved A+ service at every turn. Having a Sales background myself I appreciate when every request recieves the necessary attention and most importantly there were no excuses. My sales process started on the the web leveragiung truecar.com and ended with great one on one service. I would highly reccomend Acura of Peoria, If you are looking for a great straight shooter ask for Jesse Stone. Lastly .9% financing made my decision very easy. More
when me and my wife walked into the dealership we were greeted with a smile by Freddy. We let Freddy know what kind of car we were looking for and the price we were willing to spend. He spent time talking greeted with a smile by Freddy. We let Freddy know what kind of car we were looking for and the price we were willing to spend. He spent time talking with us and then showing what was available on the lot. when we did not want any of the cars that were in the dealership he advised us we had choices from other dealerships they worked with. while searching online we found a Dodge caliber that we wanted to see only it was in Scottsdale. we then took a ride to the other dealership and picked up the car we liked. when it came to doing all the numbers Freddy helped us understand why certain numbers were the way they were. we spent a total of 7 hours with him and it flew by because of the constant conversation and making us feel welcomed into the dealership. in the future i will definitely be recommending him and this dealership to friends and family More
Everyone at this dealership is committed and passionate about the cars and the customers;they professionally demonstrated that they want to work with the customer. The team here is polite and interested in about the cars and the customers;they professionally demonstrated that they want to work with the customer. The team here is polite and interested in developing a relationship and not just making a sales. The total experience here is much more appealing than the take it or leave it attitude at Acura Scottsdale ,especially with the Sales Manager. If you live closer to Scottsdale Acura,do yourself a big favor and take a short drive to Peoria Acura to get excellent expertise and experience in a friendly place.Herb S. STEVE HAMILTON is the salesman that has helped us twice at this dealership Our first experience last year was good and our second experience last month was EXCEPTIONAL. We were treated the way everyone wi at this dealership Our first experience last year was good and our second experience last month was EXCEPTIONAL. We were treated the way everyone wishes they would be treated when they go through the car buying process - quickly and efficiently without all the normal BS that is typical. This can not be said about all the sales people. If you want a car buying experience without all the hassle, ask for Steve when you go to this dealership. More
They wanted me to trade in my acura when I bought a new acura. It had 88K miles when I said I wanted to keep it a little longer they said it won't have any resale value after 100K. The question I ask is cu acura. It had 88K miles when I said I wanted to keep it a little longer they said it won't have any resale value after 100K. The question I ask is currently unanswered "why would I buy a new Acura if they have NO resale value" per the Acura dealer. More

At first impression, I thought the dealership was great. Stanley Brown greeted us in the parking lot, was super friendly, and very helpful. We knew exactly what we were interested in and didn't bother looki Stanley Brown greeted us in the parking lot, was super friendly, and very helpful. We knew exactly what we were interested in and didn't bother looking at anything else. We took a test drive in the vehicle and had quite a few concerns but kept being told "Ya, but it's super nice" as if we were two naive kids buying a car for the first time and didn't know any better. We were told on countless occasions that ALL of their used vehicles get a 141 point inspection (or something like that) and I find that VERY hard to believe seems how the CD player still had the CD that the previous owner had last listened to, there was an old quart of oil in a storage compartment, and the car was overall pretty dirty. If they miss something simple like that, what other things did they overlook? Still though, Stanley was nice, friendly, and helpful... but what good car salesman isn't when he's trying to make a sale? We parked the car and started talking numbers and I'd say thats when everything really went downhill. When we weren't willing to accept their horrible offers, the friendliness went away and the attitude shifted from "what can we do to help you?" to "you're wasting our time." I felt extremely pressured to make a deal right away even when I expressed how important it was for me to think about this purchase for longer than 5 minutes considering the concerns we had with the vehicle. We were at the dealership for more than 5 hours with the managers doing "everything they could do to get us a good deal on the car we wanted." I think it was more of them doing everything they could do to still get a good chunk of commision. I understand that buying a car isn't always the most pleasant experience but I do believe that if the salesmans and managers were patient and didn't get such an attitude when things don't go their way, that people would be more happy to shop with them. Most people out there do their homework when shopping for a car since it's such a big investment, being treated like I didn't know left from right was probably the biggest slap in the face. More
