I bought my brand new 2024 Crosstrek from Albany and had it serviced twice. I will say everyone was friendly and the service was fine. My complaint comes a few days later. I had my windshield replaced at a it serviced twice. I will say everyone was friendly and the service was fine. My complaint comes a few days later. I had my windshield replaced at a reputable store, given the options by my insurance (the dealership wasn’t an option). The glass company couldn’t recalibrate it-they tried for hours with no avail and told me I need to go to the dealership. I called Albany to see if they could recalibrate it and they rudely stated “we can only recalibrate if you get the windshield installed with us,” and “all other dealerships do this.” I explained my situation: the windshield was in, my insurance never gave me the dealership option, they used Subaru glass- and nothing. Didn’t look up my information, and turned me away. For all I know they sold me a car with bad Eye Sight functioning and left me high and dry. Called Walnut Creek Subaru and guess what?! They could recalibrate it no problem, got an appointment 3 days later. So my business will be with them going forward. I hope this is a lesson to the employee at Albany about good customer service.
