I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Elantra in July 2016. I loved my little car. In Jan 2020, the poor baby died and needed a new engine. After 20,000 miles, in Sept 2020, I found myself broke down on the side of th my little car. In Jan 2020, the poor baby died and needed a new engine. After bringing it to the Hyundai service department, Mr. Barry told me that the car breaking down was my fault due to their being no oil in the engine. I was younger, and not as assertive as I am today, so I didn’t question his reasoning, but there was no oil in the engine because it was on the side of highway 90 in Milton. Being left with not much of a solution, I was told I had to get a new vehicle and jumped into a 2021 Hyundai Kona. 6 months later, I receive a recall in the mail about Hyundai engines going bad, and engine blocks cracking, and that Hyundai would do anything in their power to help. I now realize that is a complete lie. The remaining balance from my Elantra ($8,000) got tacked onto the Kona bill. When I ask for the $8,000 to be reimbursed to me, nothing can be done.. my main concern is that I would never have needed this Kona if YOUR ENGINE hadn’t have left me stranded on the side of the road. More
