Mark Andrews, a service technician at Arapahoe Hyundai tried to sell me a transmission service on my closed system transmission. I have checked numerous sources including Hyundai and have been informed th tried to sell me a transmission service on my closed system transmission. I have checked numerous sources including Hyundai and have been informed that my transmission NEVER needs servicing unless there's a problem. So, the service department was trying to sell me a service I 100% did not need and Arapahoe Hyundai claimed the service was highly recommended. When I complained to sales manager, Albert Rich, I was told the technician "probably" saw something that told him my transmission needed servicing. The only thing the service tech had seen at that point was my odometer as I had just dropped the car off and was standing at his desk going over what he recommended. The car was still in the bay where I parked it. No one had touched the car yet. At the same appointment, Arapahoe Hyundai tried to perform a 60k service that is a only checklist. What Arapahoe Hyundai does is just replace everything on the checklist instead of checking everything on the list and then letting their customer know what needs to be replaced, serviced, etc. This means more chagres to the customer! Don't go here. Can I rate lower than 1 star? I was originally told to talk to Bill Surina, I even spoke with him in person. Never once did he do what he said he was going to do nor did he ever once call me or return a call. David Zinmeister never responded to my email. More
They have tried to repair the safety recall on the sunroof windscreen 6 times. This visit was because it failed again and the sunroof got stuck open. The previous times that they tried to repair it, they just super glued it back in place. Now they are telling me that there is another part that can be replaced that will be a permanent fix. Why didn’t they replace that part before? I was also told that they’ll have to see if they can get the repair covered under warranty even though the car is over 60K miles. First of all, this is a safety recall and those are covered regardless of warranty. Second of all, this is a repair that they have attempted 6 times and failed to fix. Why would I be on the hook for it on their 7th attempt? Third, I have a 10 year/100K warranty on this vehicle. I have had this car for nearly 5 years and because they have failed to repair this recall, I haven’t been able to use the sunroof at all. They are also booked out more than 2 months to get an appointment for service. I should be able to get in within 2 or 3 days. More
