In the middle of December, our car wouldn’t start, so we
had it towed to the dealership. We called them to let them know it was there. We were told it would be a two week wait, before they could look at it.
had it towed to the dealership. We called them to let them know it was there. We were told it would be a two week wait, before they could look at it. Given COVID/employee issues, we were willing to wait. We called back after 2.5 weeks because we didn’t hear anything. We were told it would be another 2 weeks before anyone could look at it. We were understanding, and decided to wait. Well, 2.5 weeks later we received a call from the dealership that some cars on the lot were broken into, ours included! They are refusing to claim it on their insurance. They are insisting we use ours, which we have a $1k deductible and of course rates will go up. Their reasoning is that when we dropped it off we signed that they are not reliable. We reminded them, we didn’t sign anything because it was towed. They then claimed it was a verbal agreement, if it’s towed. I’m so disappointed because they will not work with us despite the fact that we were so patient when they had our car for a month without looking at it. Plus, it’s ironic that now that we need our car damaged fixed, they’ll make money off of this (it’s not drivable).
BTW-we have two of the same make cars and have used this dealership to service both cars for just about four years.
