Came out to see our sparkling newly washed car waiting outside Opened the door to find nothing had been touched on the inside. Sand and dirt on the seats everywhere. Rick then told us they were short handed and couldn’t get to it that day. Told us to call to schedule a detail “if we wanted” but said they were booked when we called to schedule. Disappointing and unprofessional. More
Seems to have poor financing options with high interest rates and their only negotiation on price is to tell you to put more money down, not lower their selling price. Wasn't impressed with my experience. rates and their only negotiation on price is to tell you to put more money down, not lower their selling price. Wasn't impressed with my experience. More
We purchased a KIA EV 6 a little over a year ago. The salesman was very accommodating and there didn't seem to be any add-on premium charges. At the point of purchase, however, we were advised that The salesman was very accommodating and there didn't seem to be any add-on premium charges. At the point of purchase, however, we were advised that a charging cord was not included in the purchase price of this very expensive EV. This is comparable to purchasing a gas vehicle and being charged extra for the key! Since the cord was critical to the vehicle's operation, we bit the bullet and purchased this overpriced item. The charging cord never worked properly from the get-go. It would start charging and then stop for no apparent reason. We thought it must be our outlets and hired an electrician to rewire the garage and front porch outlets. The cord continued to work sporadically. We know it is the cord that is defective, because we used our son's Prius Prime cord for our KIA and it worked perfectly. The KIA cord totally failed in June; We called the salesman Jakeob Taylor, who has been promoted to management since our purchase. He was unable to assist us; we requested that he check with his manager (Courtney Goodgain) and, according to Jakeob, he was unwilling to help either. We then got in touch with KIA USA and they said they had no responsibility and were unable to assist us since all KIA accessories and parts are under the dealer's control ...including pricing and profit. We realize that we should have reported this problem earlier, but we were convinced that it was our wiring. Dealing Doug's failure to assume responsibility and replace the cord is indicative of the kind of service you can expect from this Dealer, whose motto should be: NOBODY BEATS YOU DOWN LIKE DEALIN DOUG! We will not return to this dealership, and like Colorado Insurance Companies, are having second thoughts about KIA in general. More
They tried to charge me 4k in taxes on a 20k car. Tried to tell me this is because of my address. Then it was whoops manager made a mistake and taxes are only 2k. No breakdown supplied...just totals. Tried to tell me this is because of my address. Then it was whoops manager made a mistake and taxes are only 2k. No breakdown supplied...just totals. In actuality, tax rate is 4%. I was going to pay cash, but I walked out after this shady deal was put in front of me. More
My Soul was towed to Arapahoe Kia (where I bought it) after the Check Engine light started blinking. They had it for three days without telling me anything. I called on the third, Thursday, around noon a after the Check Engine light started blinking. They had it for three days without telling me anything. I called on the third, Thursday, around noon and was told the service advisor would call me back. He did not. On Friday I called again in late afternoon and was told the car had engine failure, they would need to keep it for at least a few more days the following week (“maybe the whole week”) to do “testing” to see if it qualified for the warranty coverage. Engine failure on a 2020 model with less than 32K miles and it might not be covered under the warranty? And days of “testing”? Possibly another 2 or 3 weeks to replace the engine, and no mention of a loaner. Over the weekend I did some online research and read reviews of dealerships. Arapahoe Kia has a low rating. I had a bad feeling about them, anyway, from my own experience and decided to have the car moved to Emich Kia on Monday, and what a relief! The Emich service department was instantly responsive and accommodating. The next morning I was told the results of the diagnostic (yes, engine failure), that it was covered by the warranty, and I would be given a loaner later that day. Less than three weeks later my car had a new engine and it didn’t cost me a penny, not even the initial diagnostic—Arapahoe Kia charged me $230 for theirs. More
I wanted to wait a couple of months before I wrote this review. I don't know about other patrons experiences, I can only relay my own. I want to preface this review with how overly cynical I am when it comes to buying a car. Being from New York and in sales for over 40yrs, I look for the con. Over the years I am the worst nightmare to any dealership who screws me. I am the guy, on Saturdays, with the big huge sign outside the dealership, stating how I was screwed over. That's me. I narrowed down my Search to a Kia Telluride or a Hyundai Palisade, based on all the top reviews suggesting either of those cars. I all but gave up on the Telluride, because it had to be ordered and would take a few months. However, the Hyundai sales guy kept forgetting to call me back, so I went into Arapahoe Kia just west of it. Seth Stone greeted my wife, my adult son with Down syndrome, and I. I explained to him what we wanted, what features I wanted, and the price range. He explained they do not go above the MSRP, but due to demand, won't go below it either. I have never bought a vehicle at or above MSRP; I like to barter and haggle. He said we could order one exactly as we wanted, only put $100 down, and it was fully refundable at any time. So we decided to do that, and then shop else where. This was in late January and he said it looks like it will be late March to early April, when the car will be delivered. I went to several other Kia Dealers and most of them had only 1 or 2 Tellurides, priced them above MSRP, and said Arapahoe Kia always has the most(Even though they didn't have any) and the quickest order. The service at those other dealerships seemed sketchy at best and a bit too "Salesmanly" if that's a word. I went back to the Hyundai dealership several times, and I was told they'll have more in a few days. I told them I am ready to buy, and each time they never called me. We got updates from the factory on the stages of our car being built. I don't know why, but I thought that was impressive, a nice touch, and an effective sales tool, as I already felt some attachment to my new car. We were told in late March our car would be delivered in a few days and to start financing arrangements. I am a disabled vet so I went through USAA. I was approved in less than a day and it was sent over to Arapahoe KIA. When we got there Seth showed us the car. It was even better than I thought. dark Grey exterior, with a white(light grey) and black interior, and beautiful grey wood finishes. the 20" wheels were impressive too. We started the paperwork, then to finance where they had my USAA loan. Yes I did have to do another credit check, and that did bug me a bit, but it had something to do with security and a national mandate, or something like that. So no big deal. When that part was finished, Seth Stone took well over an hour to explain the hundreds of features on our car, both inside and outside. He sat with us patiently showing everything it did. Never rushing to finish and asking us for any questions frequently. In all the cars I bought, I never remember a sales person taking that amount of time after the sale. Then he put a big bow on the car, and took some pics. We finished up and I drove away. I love this car. It is as much feature packed as $80-90k SUV's we were looking at, much less expensive, and with a better warranty. I am in outside corporate sales and this car is my office. I am totally impressed with how Arapahoe Kia and Seth Stone handled the sale, especially considering some of the other reviews on here. I really expected a fight and had a very pleasant experience. Will go back when my wife is ready for her Sportage. More
I was ready to purchase a plug-in hybrid Sportage at Arapahoe Kia. I had put in a refundable deposit for the waitlist and went through my credit union's car buying program to secure financing for the pu Arapahoe Kia. I had put in a refundable deposit for the waitlist and went through my credit union's car buying program to secure financing for the purchase from this dealership with the best interest rate. Went in to test drive the car and were told that the credit union was not one of their partners and they refused to accept financing from that credit union, even though it was linked to the car buying program. With interest rates where they are right now, it is important to consider all the options to find the best rate for a car loan. I have never had this experience before where a dealer is so unwilling to accept financing from outside of the dealership. Ended up walking away from the sale, since the dealership was not willing to consider accepting outside financing for the purchase. More
