When I went for oil change last time, the advisor told me that I need to have transmission service and also "Metal Splash Shield". Next day he sent me a quote for that for $288.04. I asked him that as my ca that I need to have transmission service and also "Metal Splash Shield". Next day he sent me a quote for that for $288.04. I asked him that as my car mileage is under 30,000 miles and should be under warranty. The advisor said NO. A month later, I went back to the car dealership and asked to speak with the Service Manager. Before I could see him, the staff kept telling me that I have to pay for the Metal Shield. When I met with the Service Manager, he took his time to look into my car. He found out that the shield bolts are spinning freely causing failure to the shield. He sent paper work to the Honda headquarters to see if the replacement would be under warranty. Few days later the Service Manager called me to confirm that I could fix the problem without any cost because this is under warranty. Therefore I went back to the car dealership to have my transmission service and shield replaced. I have been driving Honda for the past twenty years and bought my SUVs from this car dealership. It is disappointed that the advisor and staff do not know that certain repairs are under warranty. If I did not go back to ask to speak with the Service Manager, I would have incurred unnecessary expenses. Ling Juergens More
