Air Bag Recall / 135k Service I love my car, 2007 A4 Cabriolet Audi. Since my warranty expired I have had the car repaired and serviced only by Portola Valley Garage who have been great. I returned to Audi service only because of the potentiall fatal airbag recall which came after 11 years of owning the car? On my first visit I decided to do the airbags and also the 135k service since I figured at 130k was killing 2 birds. I also had a check engine light which I previously had read and reset by PV garage. It was a cooling system low temp warning. Audi also read the code and replaced a relay to correct the problem for an additional ~ $450. Upon picking up my car, they tell me that they only replaced the passenger side airbag as the drivers side was unavailable, I paid $1500 for repair and service, drive off the lot and see a crack in the lower right of my windscreen!!, not a block away, I go back and get a lot of shrugging, and denial and was told to file a claim with my insurance, which I have a $1000 deductable. This takes a bunch of finagling, 3 onsite visits over a months time by glass guy, some trim screws broke and then it became worth the deductable for the new $750+ parts, glass guy paid my deductable, rebated me back the $200 I had paid him prior, all was ok in the end except now there is stlll some misaligned trim inside. Also, during the first week after my initial visit, the check engine light comes on again. I take it to PV Garage, same code, not a serious problem but keep an eye on it. No further issues untill 2 months later when check engine came on again. About the same time, I was told Audi now had the drivers side airbag in again. I schedule another appointment, also reminding them again from the initial visit that I wanted new wiper blades and a new hydraulic hood support arm installed, as mine had failed. They did not do this the first time in, as I had asked. When I arrived for my second scheduled appointment, there were no wiper blades, no hood arm and not even a drivers side airbag in stock? I left having completly wasted my time!. 2 weeks later I am told all the parts are in, all went ok this time but, I asked them to check the check engine code again as they were supposed to have fixed this the first time that I paid for it, and to reset again to make sure it was the same issue. I get in my car to leave, start it and there is the check engine light still on, I go back inside, service guy checks with the mechanic and he says he reset it and it must have come on again. I have to say, based in my experience in this fiasco, I did not beleive him and left. I took it to PV garage the next day ready to have the proper repairs done as Audi had clearly not fixed the problem when they replaced the relay. PV Garage read and reset the code, same low temp issue as always, he said if it comes on consistantly he will diagnose and repair, the light has been off for a week now, yet at Audi, it came on the first time I started the car in the service lot? Not likely. Anyway, I am really not the type of person who complains, I was a director for high tech music company in palo alto where I ran and managed a international service team for 17 years, we manufactured $300,000 hardware/software based audio mixing consoles. My brother is a high performance engine machinist and he and my father were vintage auto racers for 20 years. I know cars and I know service. That’s my story guys. Sorry. Patrick Tinney More

Extremely satisfied I called and got on the phone with Luan, he was extremely quick to help us negotiate a price on the lotus I was interested in. Steve the technician was helpful and courteous when answering question regarding the ignitions key and back Q5 auto opening issue. I was told there was nothing that could be done about the loud window opening noise. I will pursue this when the 5,000 mile service is performed if the noise persists. More
