Extremely Poor Service for Takata Airbag Recall On December 1, 2018, I made an appointment to have the Takata airbag replaced in my A3 pursuant to an Audi recall notice. The appointment was schedul On December 1, 2018, I made an appointment to have the Takata airbag replaced in my A3 pursuant to an Audi recall notice. The appointment was scheduled for December 22. I arrived at the service department on December 22. After confirming my appointment and checking in the vehicle, the service advisor informed me that they did not have the replacement airbag in stock and so the service could not be completed. He asked me whether I knew if the part had been ordered. I fail to understand how, when I made the appointment on December 1, Audi Palo Alto did not ensure that the proper part would be available when I brought the vehicle in for service three weeks later. The service advisor told me that he would order the part that day, and that it would arrive the following Thursday (December 27). He said he would call as soon as the part arrived and that I could bring in my vehicle for the recall work then. As I write this review on January 2, 2019, I have never received a follow-up call from Audi Palo Alto. Bringing my vehicle in for service on December 22 only to find that the part was not in stock was a significant inconvenience to me. Receiving no subsequent follow-up from the service department is just icing on the cake. My family owns two Audis. With other dealers in the area, we will *not* purchase or service another vehicle at Audi Palo Alto. More

I'll be honest, I thought I'd get the same experience I've unfortunately had with other local Audi dealers (Burlingame, Stevens Creek) where the entire process is a chore and never seems to end on a good note. Much to my surprise and delight Audi of Palo Alto was completely different from the other local Audi dealers. The entire process from beginning to end was so simple and easy. I was able to book an appointment that same day, was greeted the second I stepped out of my vehicle and was continuously updated of the repair process by my service writer (Matt). Moving forward I now know Audi of Palo Alto will be the only ones servicing my Audi vehicles. More
