Car Business Sleaze... HORRIBLE! We purchased 2 cars (1 new, 1 used) in the same day last year and had our contract numbers altered. We had our 2 antsy kids with us and hadn't noticed the change in terms but the sale price was 3k more than originally agreed on for the used vehicle. Since then, my husband has used the service department twice and was met with attitude and arrogance. They do not communicate, could care less about when your vehicle gets in or gets finished and treat their customers so unprofessionally it's almost unreal. We were looking for a small dealership as a "home base" for when we replace vehicles every few years with a great service department... AutoTown IS NOT IT!!!!!!! More
Horrible customer service, Liars, Thieving xxxxxxxx! I fell for the same trap as everyone else here! Promises were made that they would take care of everything, but when it came down to it they refused & I fell for the same trap as everyone else here! They sold me a car that needed 4 new rims, a window washer motor, & the ever famous extended warranty! I wanted the warranty because we didn't believe the car had only towed bikes when it had an aftermarket trailer brake installed. The car wasn't meant to haul heavy loads. After we signed, Alex called us to come back in because the found a better lender who would finance with a lower rate, so we did, & after getting our letter from the credit union, the price had jumped from $13,000 to almost $19,000! We dropped off my car to have the mystery vibration fixed & checked for an oil leak (my boyfriend found an oil gasket ring on the oil pan & left it there intentionally). Fred acted put out that we expressed our concerns, & when mentioning my extra key that was written in the contract, he said they weren't buying me a new key. We reminded him about the contract & he said we would have to contact BMW & have them call him for a credit card number. We left the dealership & never heard what was going on with my car. We called several times & they said the tires were balanced, but didn't know what the vibration was. My boyfriend asked that they put new tires on it & they said it wasn't in the contract. After arguing with Alex & Fred, & telling them we wanted our trade in back, they finally agreed to put tires on. He called again a couple days later & they said it was finally fixed. When he picked it up, they had only put 2 new tires on, they didn't check the oil leak, the gasket was still there, my gas was almost empty, there was shoe prints & moss all over my interior & seats, & it still had a vibration. When he was angry & asked to speak to Matt, he was told no & he was on private property & had to leave. I ended up buying 2 new tires & 4 new wheels. I decided to take my car to BMW to get checked, but needed my warranty information. When we called the warranty company, they had no record of us! My boyfriend called Alex who said the paperwork hasn't been sent, but would fax it right away. Hours later they still hadn't gotten it. He called Alex again, who said they had just overnight mailed it. He called the next day, still nothing! It had been a month since we bought the car, & no paperwork! They lied about everything, added an extra $5000 in unknown fees to my contract, & failed to contact us about anything! Alex is a compulsive liar who can't do his job, Matt is a cheap coward who finds any way he can to screw someone over, & Fred has no business in customer service! Since buying my car there, my boyfriend & I have received several letters in the mail from many different lenders about our recent application for a car loan! I'm pretty sure that wasn't necessary & does more harm to your credit than help! More

I have talked to them about it and since the car has already been bought and funded by the credit union they told me tough luck dude. They already got their money so they could care less about anything else. They will take advantage of you and try to screw you over so please do not buy from this dealership. The quality of there vehicles are not good as well. This is the worst decision I have ever made. Don't make the same mistake as me. More

I said throw in a free warranty and I would so he said okay we can do that. A month later I get a bill for a $5,000 warranty loan. Um no. I did not ask for that and I would have never bought this car if I had known they didn't mean free. When I call and asked them to fix it they told me "it's not their problem." They try to rush you through everything. Do not buy from here. More

From the first time I contacted Auto Town GMC Buick I was disillusioned, manipulated, lied too and frauded in means of credit. I contacted “Fred” about my concerns and treatment given while in contact with Auto Town GMC Buick, expecting some form of apology and understanding and compensation for my credit point losses. Not only did I get a strong negative attitude from him, but then he began being overly disrespectful!! I have since contacted the Attorney Generals office in Salem, Or and have sent in multiple consumer complaint forms and phone calls, only to (not surprisingly) find out that Auto Town GMC Buick has many, many other complaints through their office! I have also contacted and made complaints and concerns to: The DMV, The Department of Revenue, Better Business Bureau and am making headway in regards to court action in means of a law suit. I recently have made contact with multiple local news channels to assist in a consumer awareness report against Auto Town GMC Buick, for not only local but national attention. I WILL NOT STAND for the predatory and unethical business practices you “follow”. Unless Auto Town GMC Buick reverses the unnecessary (45+) credit inquiries acquired within a 10 day period, I will continue to announce Auto Town GMC Buicks disregard to ethical and proper consumer interests. Made several promises.....washing the car, buffing out scratches, replacing missing cap, none of that happened. Paperwork we signed for the financing at the dealership said there was no penalty for prepayment, but when the contract came in the mail from the credit union, it was a totally different story, there is a penalty of $250. More

I went down there and BOTH of the cars that I was shown had OBVIOUS mechanical and cosmetic issues...really?...maybe they need a 200 point inspection?...then when i asked the price he said it was $5,000!!! for a 200,000 mile, multiple issue, xxxxx. !!! I bought an 06 Jeep Liberty from them on Sept 18th, had to have our car towed in and cost us $200 to replace the water pump on Nov 14th and exactly 2 weeks later I had to have it towed back there a 2nd tim to have our car towed in and cost us $200 to replace the water pump on Nov 14th and exactly 2 weeks later I had to have it towed back there a 2nd time and they want $500 more to replace the radiator. I do not know why they didn't see this problem when it was in their shop 2 weeks ago, or why I'm having these problems 2 months after buying the Jeep from them. Do NOT buy from these crooks! More
I bought a used car from this dealership back in May. A few days after I bought it my check engine light went on. I was told this was normal and that the problem will fix itself. This week, on my way to few days after I bought it my check engine light went on. I was told this was normal and that the problem will fix itself. This week, on my way to work, my check engine light went on again, and immediately my car started jerking and bucking. I called the service department and told them the issue and brought my car in. The said I needed two censors replaced (two of the most expensive sensors) and that it would cost me $800. I need my car for work and needed the issue to be fixed and quickly. My car was given back to me the next day and all seemed fine. The following morning I was driving to work and the same problem started, except worse. I called them and the said they would fix it right away. After getting my car back for the second time I noticed that it still didn't feel right. I brought my car back for a third time. They had the mechanic that had work on my car take it for a drive with me. He proceeded to explain why my car sounded and felt the way it did, but I was not convinced. Not five minutes after pulling out of the dealership my check engine light went on again. I decided to get it into a highly recommended mechanic right away. Thirty minutes into looking at my car the issue was clear... "Diag mil/poor running, test drive engine surging poor throttle response. Scan for codes found PO170 fuel trim problem bank 1 check engine data found front 02 sensor not switching at 0, long ft 27%, short ft 0. Check for VACUUM LEAKS OK, TEST EXHAUST FOUND FRONT AND REAR Catalytic Converter PLUGGED. RECOMMEND REPLACE Catalytic Converters AND 02 SENSORS REPLACED" Anyone who has a bit of knowledge about cars knows that this is not an issue that just happens one day. It happens overtime, and given the state these parts were in over a long period of time, which means, most likely the car was sold to me in this state. Not to mention the damage I have been doing to my car by driving it all these months. If I was informed of this earlier i would of been able to save a lot of money, and not damage other areas in my car. Also, there is a possibility that the two censors I had just spend $800 on them installing may not of been necessary. Unfortunately there is no way for me to find out know, which is very convenient for Mr. Randy and crew. I am a young, hard, working, single women trying to make an honest living. Whether this mishap was intentional or out of pure incompetence I was taken for a ride. I received no apologies or answers as why this had happened. I am sickened by the treatment I received, and I wonder how they all can sleep at night. More
