I apologize you were not able to attain a loaner on your recent service visit. We normally keep approximately 60 loaners in our fleet however currently that number has decreased to 25 due to worldwide inventory shortages. Vehicle inventory levels will start increasing in September and October which will enable us to normalize the courtesy fleet. Please call me directly at 843-230-3329 and I will answer your warranty questions. Sincerely, David Miles General Manager

The car after service (tire replacement, alignment & oil service) was returned to me in an unsafe tire condition (low air pressure indicated) service advisor said the car needed a sensor that wasn’t in stock, but the car was ok and was good to go, and I needed to - at my convenience schedule the part replacement (no notation on my repair order) driving home I noticed that the car steering “tugging right” once home, I checked the tire pressures and found the right front tire had only 16 psi, I called the dealership and told them I-was an unhappy customer and was unable to be connected to management (service or General Manager) I added air pressure to the low tire and the indication went away I returned to the dealership where the Service Manager “said somehow they had the found the sensor, in stock- but they rechecked the tire and said the problem was the sending unit in the tire but somehow after I returned the tire pressure to 32#’s at home - the tire pressure stayed up and the low pressure indication didn’t come back all the way from my home back to the dealership (approximately 20 miles) I spoke with the General Manger when I brought the car back and told him the dealership had poor quality control procedures and troubleshoot methods (I feel no one had checked the tire pressure, and noticed the steering tug to the right during the test drive, after the tire replacement and alignment -even after seeing the indication that the tire pressure was low) everyone assumed their processes was done correctly and the indication was because a part had failed (a $1,000 part?) Why I’m so concerned about this “I was told the car was safe to drive, even though I was going on a long trip at interstate speeds” Run flat tires have the criteria “stay at lower speeds and go to a service center expediently” fortunately because I check my tire pressures - as I have an air compressor at home and a good digital air pressure gauge when I troubleshot the low tire pressure indication and found the low pressure in the tire, I was very upset with the dealership, and they’ve lost my trust, which if/when I replace my BMW I will have to look at having it serviced a a dealership 60 to 100 miles away from Columbia
