Beware Of BMW of Bayside About a week ago, I brought my 2012 528 in to BMW of Bayside because a message, "Drivetrain Malfunction," kept popping up on the dashboard. Whenever t About a week ago, I brought my 2012 528 in to BMW of Bayside because a message, "Drivetrain Malfunction," kept popping up on the dashboard. Whenever the message came on, the car would lose power and the acceleration was compromised. I brought the car in and was sent to Melissa because she was handling my file, I guess. In any case, she informed me that I would get a call as soon as the problem was diagnosed to see where I would like to go from there. That never happened...of course. In fact, 5 days later, it was I who called her to learn that the problem was the battery (so I was told). My issue with that was, "Why 5 days to find out that the battery is the issue?" Whatever. I was told that the battery had been replaced and the cost for everything would be $690. What? For a battery? First of all, what happened to the call to see if I wanted to continue with the repair? ANYWAY...I paid that. At this point you can see I'm getting very annoyed now (all caps). When I got the car back, halfway home, the same message pops right back up. Here we go again. I brought the car back and was given another loaner. I was so pissed, I drove it right over to the sales department to work out a trade deal. I'm not sure if that was the gimmick (You know...to get me to buy another vehicle...but if it was, it worked). Should have just went to Randy (my local mechanic). So for right now, I'm in loaner limbo, just waiting to hear what the verdict is on the new car. What a week. Dealerships suck. More

Yet, just as equally important is having a service department that keeps it t Driving a BMW is a privilege. It truly is the ultimate driving machine. Yet, just as equally important is having a service department that keeps it that way. I've been fortunate enough to have met Angelo, the shop manager, at BMW Bayside. There is something to be said when you can entrust your car with someone. Every time that my car has been serviced, Angelo always makes sure to provide me with the ultimate service experience. I am never inconvenienced when my car needs service. He works around my work schedule and if needed, provides me with a loaner car so that I can continue my everyday schedule uninterrupted. While in service, he checks in with me and explains the needs of my car and always makes sure that my car is returned to me at its peak performance. I am truly blessed and so very thankful for his hard work and dedication to his job and he deserves the highest commendations. More
