I have had my 2017 X1 for service twice since owning in Sept 2020. The 1st service in November was one that should have been completed before vehicle delivery, the computer needed reprogramming as engine Sept 2020. The second service, while the vehicle only needed an oil change and we dropped of on a Thursday evening. Phone calls never came from dealer until I inquired, and was told I would get a call after 3:00, that did not happen, my wife inquired on vehicle status and was told it would be ready by the time we picked up after 4:30. We got a call 10 minutes before arriving saying it was getting washed etc. On arrival the inspection was not reviewed by service, and it took a phone call a week later to get the inspection report, which prompted the survey. By the way, the car was not ready as I was then told outside it was going to be washed and waited another 10 minutes. This and the Sirius issue/question was asked was not answered until I was driving away. Overall very disappointing on how customers are treated like cattle in/out without , so far in my 2 visits a discussion on what the service entailed. More

The primary reason that I brought my vehicle in for service is because a brake service light appeared on the dashboard of my Z3. I also asked for an oil change and a diagnosis of why my heater did not service is because a brake service light appeared on the dashboard of my Z3. I also asked for an oil change and a diagnosis of why my heater did not produce hot air. After 4 days and over $700 I was told that my vehicle was ready. It wasn’t until I picked it up that I discovered that the service light was still on. Upon questioning the service attendant he said that the issue was not the brake pads/lining, but a bracket that BMW allegedly no longer manufactured because the vehicle is a 19 year old classic. He told that he would conduct a search of other dealerships to find the part, and contact me as soon as it was available. I have to assume that the search was automated and not random phone calls to other dealerships. It’s been 3 weeks and I’ve placed 2 phone calls without a return call. It doesn’t say much for a BMW dealership that cannot complete a repair of a BMW. More
